Self-absorbed American college students in a magic school, part Harry Potter, Part Lewis, all attitude. Yeah, they're kind of hard to like, but I think it's a relatively honest depiction of the life of privileged white college students. The magic stuff is practically background.
Fantastic ideas, fun space opera, very poorly written female characters. Everything I expect from Hamilton.
