Extremely solid sequel to the first book- I remembered everything from the first book super vividly, but forgot a lot about this one (including how the Baudelaires reveal Count Olaf for who he is) and it was still a genuinely fun read all these years later. I’ll probably give all of these books 4.75+ lol

Soooo good, I was super invested in the characters’ lives and I learned SO much

Wish the end was a little more fleshed out (I had to relisten to the last chapter to make sure I actually didn’t miss anything.. and I didn’t) but otherwise an excellent book

bro say “blue blue eyes” ONE MORE TIME

this book is insane lol not very well-written (I think I have a running list of words and phrases that were repeated at least 10x) but the plot and alternating narrators were intriguing enough to keep me in the book

disappointed but not surprised by the ending- fed lots of answers to the reader but still didn’t address several plot holes
