i love the flow of their story, not *oh-so-cringe* like other romance novels i’ve read. it’s just like some of the novels that started with being fake lovers just because of some circumstances that led them to be in a contractual relationship but what made me stay and read until the end was because each chapters has so many flirty banters and each scene exudes sexual tension be it by them just casually whispering with each other’s ears or touching each other’s hairs or having sex, it’s too much that it made me finish the novel in just one sitting and before i knew it, i was already at the epilogue.

i like the character of nina, a badass one. and i really love how they confessed their feelings for each other. no second thoughts. no pretense at all. i love how they’re honest with their feelings and no miscommunication between them.

there’s also this one reason that made me love the story, their flaws that they eventually overcome by supporting each other. roman petrov, a rich husband man having crutches, cane and a wheelchair because he couldn’t walk due to an accident and it feared him that nina will leave him because of that. that a beautiful woman like nina can find a man that can walk and not disabled like him. and i like how nina assured roman that it would never happened. nina grey, a beautiful talented artist that experienced a violence from brian and left her a traumatic experience that just by seeing tall and bulky men would make her flinch and panic. but i love how nina overcame it by practicing it with roman. and i like how roman supported nina along the way and made sure he would not hurt her.

despite roman being a criminal lord and doesn’t give mercy for anyone else, he’s so sweet and protective with nina. he always make sure nina was comfortable around him and always ask for consent.

roman was so in love and protective of nina especially when she announced that she’s pregnant. he overreacted and freaked out ‘not something that would be considered pakhan-ish as nina likes to say’
