I leave this series behind, and still my heart aches when I think about any of them. Packpackpack.

Because I am reading this after already reading (and being obsessed with) the series, I know I love ii! It is bringing me back into their world. However because I am reading this after already reading the series, I know this was not as great because it's just a small peek into their minds for a moment. It didn't give much, but gave just enough :)

Elizabeth is everything! 😭

I reread this series last year to finally finish the final book to the series and figure it is time to read the side stories as well.

Thoughts:
This book can be summed up in these words = a lonely boy, a lonely girl, 2 moons, hand holding, Janáček’s sinfonietta, NHK fees, boobs, cults, guns, bodyguards, strange storms, pregnancy, long distance love, a ghost written book and more boobs. I wish I loved this book, however it was just not in the cards. This is the longest it has ever taken me to finish a book. I want to let it be known that I enjoy Murakami's writing overall (even though mundane and repetitive at times). He at least kept me engaged even if I was rolling my eyes at certain (if not most) moments. I might even be willing to read another book of his, but if in one of his other books he makes one blatant remark about a female breasts or body parts again, I am going to off myself. With that in mind, I should probably just steer clear. I have never heard so much talk of boobs and their sizing in my life. His hyper fixation on it is just too much.
Would I recommend this:
Nope.

Partial paperback and partial audiobook
How did I discover this:
My sister’s fiancée’s sister sent me a very sweet book box with some of her favorite reads.

Slow. Pull out your hair type of slow.
Cover thoughts:
The cover might be one of the only good part of this book. I actually enjoy it a lot.
POV: (single or multi)
Multi – Mainly between Tengo and Aomame. I wish Tamaru had a pov cause he was the only likeable character personally.

Crowley *puts hair behind ear* - why are you starting to make me feel some type of way?

Yu only has one brain cell and he uses it for fighting lolol.

"That's weird. My feelings toward Yu haven't changed much at all" *slow blink* We know Mika darling. We know.

Oh Ferid - you would create a messed up scavenger hunt, while also keeping your fridge stocked.

"Nothing kills more humans than human." Oof! Facts!

Guren *sob* Shinya *sob* everyone in the fam *sob*

WHAT AN ENDING! I AM CONFUSION STILL BUT WOAH!

Yu: We all have each other. We are all friends!
Mika: Sure... Let's ditch them.

Crowley and Ferid are giving Dean and Sam vibes at the beginning of this volume haha. Ferid... to be a fly on the wall in that head of yours. Like quit provoking everyone you as*hat!

Shinya, baby, none of them are worth your time! 😪 Guren if you hurt him I stg! You cannot be trusted at the moment,
even if you brought him back to life somehow!

Battle was wild to say the least! Demon Yu makes me so nervous, but such an interesting side to him now that will definitely cause a lot of trouble for the future. Protective Mika mode is still in full force, and now it's time to go save the queen lol.

Honestly it's been awhile, but wanted to continue this after watching the show. I have zero patience and need to know where this is going because it is likely this will not continuing airing again.

Ehhhhh not my favorite. I'll continue volume 2 (if it doesn't get discontinued) and see how I feel overall.

The storyline is only semi intriguing and the main character, Q/Kyu, is a bit bland. I'm not invested enough to root strongly for him, but I enjoy Nagi and Zenichiro.

>Nagi Seomizu - she looks like Kenma (Haikyuu) and acts like Bakugo (MHA), which is a funny combination to me.
>Zenichiro Kangan - For a crazy nut, you are so fine for no reason.

Thoughts:

Can Emily Henry do any wrong?! I may be jumping the ahead of myself but this was another amazing work and only my second read by her. If I had to be completely truthful I think I liked People We Meet on Vacation a little bit more, but that is not to brush this book off. Gus and January made this such a light read even with all the emotional trauma going on. A lot of dumb and loveable romance tropes were played out, but I think it was purposefully done. I may have rolled my eyes sometimes, but I was also kicking my feet back and forth in the air with how giddy I got. Many of the characters had flaws unless you are Pete and Maggie (and I would die for you both my lesbian queens), but the purpose of the story is to show how flawed we all are and how we all deserve to have love even it is only for now. If you are down for an emotional, flirty, and sappy story that will have you giggling to yourself, please give this one a chance!

Would I recommend this and to who:

YES & TO EVERYONE! THE HYPE IS TRUE!

Paperback/Hardcover/Audiobook/E-book:

Paperback. I wrote in margins, underlined, and sticky tabbed the sh*t out of it lol!

How did I discover this:

Buddy read with my sister that I added. It was on my TBR after seeing all the hype and reading another work by Emily Henry.

Cover thoughts:

Honestly not a big fan of this cover. I see why Emily Henry picked it, but I feel like it doesn’t fit with the full style of the book personally.

POV: single

All told by January Andrews (some letters are read, but still in her perspective.

Quotes:

The hardest thing had turned out to be being angry with someone you couldn’t fight it out with.

“I just remembered what you said about the bookshelf,” he said in a gravelly voice. “You can’t even stop roasting me when I’m losing my mind over your body.

“Falling’s the part that takes your breath away. It’s the part when you can’t believe the person standing in front of you both exists and happened to wander into your path. It’s supposed to make you feel lucky to be alive, exactly when and where you are.”

“I’ve never met someone who is so perfectly my favorite person.”
