Nineteen Steps by Millie Bobby Brown
3.5
I definitely cried a lot at this, and read it pretty quick cos it wasn't very dense. I mean, it was okay and the characters were sweet. I had no idea that the disaster was a real thing until I did some research after! Crazy! 170+ people died :(
After the Quake by Haruki Murakami

Another slightly strange Murakami, haven't read anything by him in a while so nice to dive back into his magical realism.
A set of short stories that are all subtly linked. And a frog, fighting a worm (of course???!)

Worst Case Scenario by Helen Fitzgerald
This was kinda weird and overly sexual and felt uncomfortable. But also kinda good?

Ooh this was fun. Arctic and a game show, and then murder mystery and cue everything going wrong.

Young Mungo by Douglas Stuart

Holy shit. Oh my god. Stuart does it again. So powerful, so raw, so vivid. A firm 5 stars. I can almost imagine Shuggie living up the road from Mungo. So real. An easy, and a firm, 5 stars.
The Recovery of Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel

This was a good, quick read, if not a little predictable. i feel like i guessed the ‘twist’ way before it came about.
The Complete Maus by Art Spiegelman
