I found it so hard to get through this, and only persisted because I knew it was the end of the series.

I hope this reaches all the people it needs to, and that they aren’t put off by the title if they’re not massively into running
- I didn’t love the JKR reference, I felt she could have made her point without mentioning a transphobe -

A good entry level into the concept of feminism for those that have no knowledge at all really. I especially enjoyed the Nigerian perspective. I didn’t love the exclusion of trans or non-binary people, but understand that this was written a little while ago and that the gender binary was/is, unfortunately, the discussed norm. I imagine it would be different had it been written today.

I really loved this. Cried almost the whole way through.
It presents the devastating reality of the situation in a way that may make people actually listen, and think. It perhaps lacks depth in certain aspects (particularly Jen and Riley’s ‘making up’ discussion), but at least it should give even the most basic insight on the topic, to those reading. Which can never be a bad thing.

I enjoyed the story a lot! The main thing I took issue with, was that it seemed like during the editing stages the book was deemed too long, so chunks were taken out. It left the flow a bit disjointed sometimes.

I regret reading this in audiobook format, as it was sometimes tricky telling when one poem had ended and another began, which honestly took me out of the experience as I sometimes wasted listening time by being distracted by it. Totally my fault! 🤦♀️ Would like to give this another chance in a physical form.
For some reason the poem about the cat with dementia really stuck with me! 🤷♀️
