Easy to get lost in and fly through.

Helped me a little bit to get out of my reading slump. Graphic novels are my go to when I don’t have much motivation to read, and this book helped  because we start uncovering more parts of the story to where things are making sense. Fun read! :)

If you don’t listen/like Logic, you may not like this book. Personally, I enjoy his music and you can definitely tell that it was him writing (word choice, references, etc). It wasn’t a dense sci-fi read so it was easy to absorb the story, little world building compared to others i’ve read. So if you want to get straight to the plot and like heavy dialogue, this book is it!

Overall, not a book that is memorable, but is an easier and light read.

Definitely a more challenging read because of the vocabulary and slow pace. But, I did enjoy following the MC’s train of thought and trying to figure things out myself. We get more info but a million more questions from this book. If you’re looking for a book to escape into, this disorienting read is a good choice! :)

Though this book was very disorienting, I still had a lot of fun reading! You literally have no idea what’s going to happen next, and trying to theorize alongside of the narrator only made it more confusing (in a good way).

I have only read a few horror novels, but this got me very interested in horror, specifically eco-thrillers!

If you want to get lost in a book and another world, this is the read for you :)

I liked this one best so far! Though there’s still a ways to go in the story, this is the book where  many things are being revealed. We can finally put some of the puzzle pieces together. Good and interesting read! :D

Very descriptive writing which is usually not something I enjoy, but I liked it here! Overall it felt slower paced since we really get to know the characters and their inner thoughts, but this is what made it enjoyable for me. Very gradual build, you really aren’t sure what’a going to happen for a great portion of this book!

As far as the love interest/relationship aspect, it may be off putting to some (incest)
it is between two step siblings. At the end, it’s revealed that our main character was never officially adopted so they weren’t “technically” siblings, but they grew up together with that dynamic. Personally I liked their relationship and conversation, but I still felt a little uneasy

Overall it was a slow paced but intriguing read. I would say this leans closer to magical realism than fantasy! Try it out!
