Did not expect to give this a 5 going into it, but I loved this ride. Camilla and Vincent are some new favorites, and I’m very curious how this will all shake out moving forward.

I died. I loved. It was so good! Went in with low expectations, but it lived up to the hype and so much more!

The third book is almost always the best, and that’s true for this series as well!

I wanted to give this a 5, but I had the twist figure out too early. Maybe that’s because Ware is just too good at foreshadowing! It was an incredible read, and induced quite a bit of anxiety, but in two different ways through the first and second halves!

Loved this book!! The prose was beautiful, and the story felt so real even if there was magic involved. Loved the dynamic amongst the characters, and enjoyed that it was more low stakes but still very emotional.

Loved this story, but it was a slog to get through. Parker's writing is beautiful, but it's a LOT. I saw one reviewer call her writing "Purple prose" as opposed to lyrical prose, and I'd have to agree. Lots of edits were needed. That being said, you can tell there's an attention to detail and richness to her characters. Excited for it all to continue in the next one! What a cliffhanger!

I think I would have enjoyed this one more if I had re-read the rest of the series before diving in. I felt like I was playing a bunch of catch-up with characters' names and race (human/hybrid/fae). Loved the HEA and the journey it took to get there. Fell even more in love with the side characters, too. Hoping for a Medinia spin-off!!
