This book is supposed to be satire and "darkly funny". I couldn't find that anywhere in the book as none of it was humorous.

Google even said it was supposed to be a thriller?! In what sense? Lol

I was bored the entire time reading this and ended up skimming about half to the end.

No thanks.

I skimmed sooooo much of all the fluff in this book and I feel like I missed absolutely nothing. Talk about the slowest of slow burns and I don't necessarily think it's worth it.

I found the main character to be incredibly annoying where I actually caught myself rolling my eyes. And in fact, I didn't like most of the characters.

Not a fan of this one. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This just was not for me which is odd to say since I normally love these types of books. I like footnotes in my nonfiction reads but to do it in a fiction book is just weird. It doesn't work and it takes away from the actual story, in my opinion.

I couldn't connect to the main character, or any other characters for that matter, and that kinda of ruins the experience for me. It also makes it hard to care about anything happening.

And is there a thing as too much dialogue? I feel like if there is, this book has it...

Thanks St. Martin's Press for an ARC. All opinions are mine.
