Preeti Shenoy is an author whom I feel that everyone can read anytime. And this newly published book is not an exception.
All The Love You Deserve by Preeti Shenoy is the story of Puja, Arush, and Sujit. Puja and Arush are in a long-distance relationship. They are finding ways to make this work but there are complications, and the pandemic is making things more complicated. Meanwhile, Sujit is trapped in the troubled past which is linked with Puja. What will happen when the three of them try to make their lives work having a deep impact on each other? Read the book to know more.
This book is the sequel of When Love Came Calling but this book can be read as standalone as well, like I did. However, after reading this, I want to read the former as well.
The book beautifully depicts that finding passion, love, and happiness is a journey, an ever-changing dynamic process that evolves with time for each one of us. And how it comes at different times for different people. All three main protagonists have their journeys, struggles, and ways of dealing with them, which are real and relatable.
Each character's relationship with the other, their parents, siblings, and people around them evokes so many emotions. If this story and the people there can say one thing, it would be— To make mistakes, and fall apart, but do not give up and keep trying. And that's all I can say about them.
Dr. Harsh is a character that everyone wants in their life. Every moment when he comes into the story makes it a memorable one. The theme of mental health is represented very well and carves a way for the readers to be more human!
I loved the characters of Divya and Vihan as well. They have such an interesting story and I would love to see more of them. Dear author, can we please expect a book on their story soon?
The ending of the book is the most beautiful thing that can happen. I loved the way the author kept the story so real, grounded, and relatable, making the reader feel a personal connection with the characters. The problems of the pandemic and the situations that people go through were very well depicted and I am glad that the author included that.
This book came to me when I was not able to read any book and was struggling to find a read that could make me flip the pages. And this book did exactly that. I finished reading it in a day, which could have been in a sitting if not for academics. And I loved reading this.
Puja, Sujit, and Arush's characters are written in such a way, that they are going to be with me for a long time. And so is their journey. If I start to tell you more about them or their story, I know I wouldn't be able to stop without giving spoilers, so I am leaving it to you to read it and see for yourself why I love them so much. It's a 5/5 for me.

One of my favourite reads of 2023! And that's my review till the time I write it's detailed one, so read it!
It was a comfort, cute and such a beautiful read! Although I enjoyed the first part more, it was a beautiful read. And I can see myself reading it again and again like the first part!
An illustrated, translated, gorgeous children's book! What more do we need!
DISAPPOINTED, that's all.
The Henna Start-Up by Andaleeb Wajid is the story of Abir who wants to become independent and make a name for herself, but her family wants her to complete her graduation and get married afterward. When her college runs a programme for students start-ups, she thinks that as an opportunity to fix the problems of her family as well as make a way for her future as well, but for it, she has to deal with Arsalan as well, her classmates whom she hates! What will happen to her and her ambitions? Read the book to know more.
I have heard a lot about the author and thus, I wanted to read her books for a long time, and I am glad that I started with this book.
I enjoyed reading about the inner conflict of Abir when it comes to Sahil and the banters with Arsalan. Their chemistry, conflict, confusion, and charisma make it a memorable read.
The sibling bond in the story of Abir and Amal was my favourite thing in the story and I enjoyed their bond. The friendship of Abir with Keerthi was another highlight for me.
Through Abir's story, the book beautifully captures the theme of following one's passion and being independent and the obstacles that one faces in between, especially of the family's economic background, parenting, and the pressure of marriage. It shows how marriage as an institution especially affects the life of women in Indian society.
It also shows how women become passive in a marriage and even after contributing to the financial stability of the house, they have to become submissive and let the man of the house take charge.
The book very subtly but importantly talks about consent and how when one goes into a relationship needs to consider and ask for the opinion of the other instead of presuming things. It also shows how financial differences can affect friendship and the views about people in general and shape the individual's perspective towards the world.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and it has all the elements that make it a remarkable YA Fiction which covers a lot of social aspects as well. A book that can be easily finished in a day.

One of the cutest, funniest, senseless illustrated books that gave me so many funny moments and I laughed out loud multiple times!
The Night Has A Thousand Eyes by Ruskin Bond is a collection of 36 favourite stories of the author that celebrates love, warmth and friendship.
The stories in the collection strikes the human emotions that everyone goes through - Love! Love for friends, romantic partners, parents, nature, strangers and anything which we can think of. And the stories were a sheer joy, happiness and calmness.
There were many stories in the collection that I have read previously and that we all have heard of, like "The Blue Umbrella", "Angry River", "The Night Train In Deoli", and some stories about which I have had no idea, and which became my favourite. "Love Is a Sad Song" being one of them, which @ and @ told me later that they enjoyed reading it equally and now I can understand why!
Mr. Bond writes in the introduction that "I do not write plots, I wrote people". And this is so true! Like Koki, Ranji, Teju from "When the Gauvas Are Ripe", Binya from "The Blue Umbrella ", Sita from "The Angry River", Bisnu from "Dust On the Mountains", Sushila from "Love Is a Sad Song" there are countless characters that he wrote who feels like someone that we know from our own childhood! And that's the beauty of this writing.
The warmth, comfort, and fulfillment of these cosy stories matches the looks of the cover, which is so gorgeous. This book is my favourite collection by Mr. Bond out of all the books I've read till now.
If you are looking forward to reading a book that can make you smile, shy, love, longing, and maybe blush at moments, go for this book! It's definitely a highly recommended book from my side, one of my favourites from this year for sure. I'll give it 5/5.

A heartwarming, beautifully illustrated book that shows a beautiful story having beautiful messages and learnings, something that everyone needs, and not only the children!
A great story and even the greater illustrations. I am in love with the illustrations from this book! The light, subtle, heartwarming illustration unlike other vibrant ones, which gives it a unique touch.
