Was this book extremely predictable? Yes.

Was this book repetitive? Yeah, every scene between Evren and Adara felt like deja vu.

Did I still (mostly) enjoy it? Yeah.

Did I love the ending even though I saw it coming since the beginning of the book? Sure did.

I found Adara a bit annoying and dumb in her decisions. Found Evren okay but bland.

But the author was CRAZYYYY for saying
"Is that what you were telling yourself when you were between my thighs? Were you searching for my loyalty?" While surrounded by soldiers and his MOTHER. Damn.

This is just going to be some very chaotic thoughts. There will be spoilers.

I really liked this book, but didn't love love it. There were parts I did, then others I was bored.

I was one of the few who hated the ending of HoSaB and I feel justified tbh. I think the entire first part with Bryce in Prythian was boring as fuck. I love Nesta so it was fun to see her and parts were funny, but so much just dragged on. And I feel like it would've actually been more fun for her to have gone to Hel and be training and amassing an army. I also feel like it has to kind of impact ACOTAR since Nesta now has the star sword which bothers me.

I really enjoyed the beginning plot of everyone else though! It was so sad seeing Ruhn, Hunt, and Baxian go through what they did. But not gonna lie, I BURST out laughing when The Hawk used Ruhn's severed hand to give him the middle finger behind Rigelus' back.

I was also very into Ithan, Flynn, Dec, Marc, and Lidia trying to save them.

I feel like a lot of the plots in this book just happened so quickly. Like Ithan saving his man by killing Sigrid, then trying to raise her and it failing, and becoming Prime. Just a lot.

I do love that Ithan is prime though and him seeing Connor??!?! I WAS BAWLING. Just wanting to make his brother proud and then Connor telling him he was proud. STAHP.

And speaking of Ithan.... Ithan and Tharion are IN LOVE and I just need them to bang already. Like they're so clearly obsessed with each other and meant to be. I need it.

I like his wife enough, but nahhh they need a divorce. Let her save her friend and be with him. And let Ithan pick up the pieces.

Once Bryce got back to her world I loved her and I found her so funny in this book. Really made me love her a lot more than I had.

I'm very interested in Ariadne and what's going on there.

I loved Lidia and her relationship with her sons! She's SUCH a badass. When she told Ruhn he didn't deserve her story.... DAMNNNNN. I do love them together though.

I cried a lot when Bryce saw Danika and Connor and it makes me happy that they do get to have an afterlife and that Bryce, Ithan, and Baxian will meet up with them again one day. It crushes my heart that Baxian lost his mate. I wish we got to see him and Danika together. THAT'S the bonus content I want from SJM.

I think it's very sweet that Jesiba basically waited to be willing to trade her life for Bryce's. Clearly by this point we know that SJM bringing characters back from the dead is her MO but it's getting tiring. And I'm someone that NEVER wants a character to die and fully HEAs. But then don't tease that they're dead.

I actually feel like I'm about to cry. I'm so fucking emotional about this series being over.

I'm so happy we got this final book to tie everything up and show us where everyone ended up.

I genuinely love every single character and relationship in this series so much. It's insane.

I'm so excited to reread CU Hockey now that I know all of these amazing people and can enjoy their cameos!

I LOVE THIS SERIES WITH MY ENTIRE BEING!!

I'm not going to lie. I was nervous about this one. I loved Jet in every book, but I'm not a huge age gap person and so I wasn't sure about him and Soren. But honestly, the gap isn't that big, and thankfully Jet is a bit older now.

I really loved their story and how they did end up hooking up at the Stanley Cup and now years later get together for real.

I like that they were able to experience other relationships and realize that they want each other.

I was nervous that Harley would be an obstacle to their relationship, and I'm SO glad it didn't go that route. Love Finley for that.

I also love that Matt was pretty accepting of their relationship right away!

I also love how much the rest of the gay brigade (amazing nickname) was in it! Fiji was so fun!! I loved seeing them all together and being in love and a found family!

I'm honestly devastated that this series is over, but so happy I get the final novella to say goodbye.

And I can't wait to reread the CU Hockey series now that I know all of these guys so I can appreciate the cameos!!!

Edit upon reread:

It's actually crazy how much I love this one. I really love how much we get to see of all of our couples from the series!

And it was SO FUN reading it again after reading the Famous series (aka seeing all of the Eleven boys stories)! It made me appreciate Harley and his side a lot more because I know what he was going through and how heartbroken he truly was.

And I kept cracking up at the hints that someone else in Eleven was gay and it's just Ryder. Like lol babe no they're all on the spectrum of sexuality as Ryder would say.

I love this series so much!!!

I've been waiting for Talon and Miller's story so eagerly since reading Matt and Noah's. And I'm so happy that it was everything I hoped for and more!

I love that Shane experimented in college after Talon left. And I love that as soon as Marcus got turned on by Matt and Noah he just accepted it so easily.

I loved their relationship so much! I love how they were truly best friends first, and still have that bond.

And I love how much Damon, Maddox, Noah, and Matt were in this one! I really love seeing all the connections and how they're all friends.

And I love that Lennon wrote their coming out piece. Such amazing connections.

Edit upon reread

Loved this even more on the reread. Talon and Miller are EVERYTHING.

I also loved understanding the hint of Soren and Jet on the reread (them thinking Soren was checking out Ollie on the dance floor but he was really checking out Jet). Also, kind of a hint to Eleven because they noted that people in the music industry face the same dilemma of coming out.

I wish Eden would write more football stories, because this is so good!

I LOVED THIS BOOK!

I think my favorite in the series so far?

I've already read the CU Hockey series, so I know of Ollie, and I was so happy to get his story! I can't wait to reread CU Hockey when I finish these and hear them all talk of him knowing his background.

I really love Ollie and his family so much! (I don't love the fact that Max is clearly into Ash though. Gross.)

I love that this book showed a different way families can react and how even being so happy and supportive of an LGBTQ kid can have negative effects.

And I loveeee that they're still calling him Clark!!!!

I really liked Lennan and the fact that he has integrity. I love that he never even considered selling Ollie's story, and I'm so happy with how his career ended up (on the Sports Illustrated writing about gay athletes front).

I just really loved them as a couple and had a super fun time reading this!

I also love all of the cameos of Maddox, Damon, Matt, and Noah. And side characters like Jet! I loved seeing Jet more like a friend than the little brother, but the hint of him and Soren tbh. I know they are the couple and have a book, but with Jet being so young it just gives me such a fucking ick. And I know Jet is older when it gets to his book (at least she originally said he would be) but it seems clear something happened now and I'm not a fan. So far. I'm sure I'll eat my words. But I'm also not a huge age gap person.

Also I really want to fucking know what happened between Maddox's sister and Damon's friend! Why not hint this book?!??!?

Edit upon reread:

This is tied for my favorite in the series with the next book and it didn't disappoint on the reread!

I did eat my words about Jet and Soren lol and I loved the hint of them in this one!

Still think it's disgusting Max and Ash eventually get together (though I still haven't read their short story.)

I loved the hints of Talon and Miller too!!!

And seeing Damon really building up his empire in this one with getting Soren too, and the first idea that he could be the agent for all the gay athletes! YESSSS.

And the first hints of The Queer Collective!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

I liked this one a lot, even more than book one!

I loved seeing Anders' story and his healing journey. My heart ached for him for what he's been through.

I liked Brody a lot, but didn't feel a huge love for him tbh. In fact, he bothered me in some moments. I didn't love that he got with Anders SO QUICKLY after the therapist told Anders he should pump the brakes. And he knew that. I also didn't love how he did quickly think it's possible Anders did instigate the fight. But that one didn't bother me too much because I think anybody would have to consider that. And it would at least cross anyone's mind.

I did like the exploring of bondage because it is such a good tool for Anders' anxiety and reason for it. I also love that Brody ended up being so into it!!

My least favorite thing, and honestly what dropped it down from 5 or 4.5 stars, was the fact that it was SO FUCKING ADAMANT that Brody's dad was just good at his job and doing his job and so Anders should forgive him.

FUCK THAT. Yes, everyone has a right to representation, but the way defense attorneys traumatize victims, ON PURPOSE, even when they fucking know their client is guilty (like Brody and his whole team did with theirs) is fucking DISGUSTING. And makes them scum of the earth. Sorry not sorry.

But the fact that Brody's dad's deposition is what caused so many of Anders' problems and he's supposed to just get over it and say, well he's just doing his job well. NO. He's a piece of SHIT that doesn't care about victims and justice. Just cares about finding loopholes for his client.

I'm honestly so disgusted and heated about it.

And the fact that Brody just accepts this and is having lunch weekly with his dad, and Rachel moved back in, and it's become oh he's actually misunderstood, honestly pisses me the fuck off and makes me dislike Brody a bit.

It makes me so mad I'm almost shaking writing this.

But the positives outweigh it still.

What a great conclusion to the series! I didn't love it as much as the ending for Percy Jackson, but still very solid. Slightly underwhelming? But...yeah, still good.

I like the way everything came together and how everyone's story ended.

I do think there are some (very slight) loose ends, which I get. Because at this point Rick knew there would be more series, and also some things wouldn't have made sense to be solved in a minute, but some of the open ended things I don't fully love. Like Leo being alive and no one knowing. Mainly because I hate him and have no desire to read another story about what he goes through/have him make a reappearance where everyone finds out he's alive. Yes, yes, I know. Everyone else loves him. I fucking can't stand the guy. I was bummed it ended on his POV.

And speaking of POVs. I am so angry that there was no Percy or Annabeth POV in this. Honestly made me so sad every time there was a chapter with them and not their POV. And I kind of wanted to see Percy find out Blackjack was hurt and make sure he was okay. And see his POV of Nico confessing to him. Very happy to know that Rick is continuing Percy's story and I can't wait to read it.

And it's almost a trade off because we got Rayna and Nico's POV!!! NICO'S POV WAS EVERYTHING!!!!! And I'm so happy he is staying at Camp Halfblood! And telling Percy he's not his type. BOY BYEEE. I'm dead. I love Will already and their dynamic, and I can't wait to see them together and see their journey!

I love that the Greeks and Romans came together and are going to co-exist. Even though I'm still a bit hesitant on the Romans lol!

I love that Percy and Annabeth are planning their life. And the idea of them having a peaceful 4 years of college is nice, but I don't like the idea of them living in New Rome permanently. IDKKKKK. I know it's stupid, but them leaving Camp Halfblood just makes me so sad. But I also want them safe and happy.

I loved that they threw in how the campers were clearly iffy and annoyed that they had to thank the gods when they didn't do shit to actually help them defeat Gaia. Always showing how it makes sense why Luke ended up going with Kronos.

I think the biggest upset this series was that they never mentioned Luke or the idea he could come back. With all of these people coming back from the dead, no one even brings up the fact of 'what if Luke comes back?' Is it possible there's a reason why? Yes. I feel like maybe there is and I forgot? Idk, but I wish it came up.

Overall, a solid ending.

Unpopular opinion: LEO IS SO FUCKING ANNOYING. I CAN'T STAND HIS POV CHAPTERS.

I know I'm alone there but I don't care. I'll carry the burden alone. The ladies don't love Leo. We fucking hate him.

I don't think he's as bad in other character's POV, but god he just gets worse every book. I'm hoping he's better next one since apparently the magic of a girl finally wanting him made him more grounded and less irritating.

Anyway, moving on....

I loved this book!

I'm so happy about the amount of Percabeth, even though they were struggling for real in this one. I felt so bad for them, but I love their connection and how they'd do anything for each other.

Their relationship is so beautiful. I love that they can see their future together in New Rome, but also I don't want them to leave Camp Halfblood... I'd rather they find a way to build a community like that at Camp Halfblood lol.

I feel like Percy and Jason will end up switching camps kind of, but again... I don't want Percy to leave Camp Halfblood (cries).

I really like how much we got of Hazel and Frank in this one and how we see how valuable and strong they both are. I loved seeing Frank grow into a leader, and Hazel realized she's just as valuable as anyone else there.

Bob was amazing, and I love how he helped Percy. and the last line!!!! Percy telling the stars that Bob says hi!!! I ALMOST CRIED.

I'm assuming Leo is going to somehow end up with Calypso. I like the idea that he'll go back for her, and I kind of like how they were together and grew to like each other. But no I didn't actually like them. Leo is just too fucking immature to be with anyone.

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT NICO!!!

I knew he was gay, but I didn't know he had been into Percy. I LOVE THAT. It makes so much sense as to how Nico treated Percy in the last series.

It's so funny, because when people mentioned they all thought Nico had a crush on Annabeth I was soooo confused. I never got that vibe, but I did get the vibe he maybe had a crush on Rachel at one point. Now I feel like I need to go back and see what it was that Rachel said that made him blush.

But the scene with Cupid was so intense. I love that Jason was so adamant that everyone would accept him, but I totally see why Nico is so unwilling to tell anyone with how they already treat him and the time he grew up. I can't wait to see his story in the next book. I'm PRAYING for a Nico POV. (Please give me that over Leo. PLEASEEEEEE.)

I'm so excited to see how this ends! LET'S GOOOO.

Changed to 5 stars on the reread from 4.5! (Though it's definitely still my least favorite in the series, but I do love it!)

I really loved this book! I liked book one a bit more, but I still really loved this and Matt and Noah.

I think they're both good main characters who I grew to love.

The relationship was definitely cute and I really enjoyed getting to watch it develop.

I was a bit nervous, because I am a huge football fan, and before the book there was a disclaimer that Finley doesn't really know the sport and some things might be wrong (and she even mentioned that she knew she messed up on the draft). But I'd say besides when Matt was drafted, which honestly made me laugh out loud, nothing else really stuck out and totally took me out of the story.

I'm gladd JJ will eventually get his own story (and I'm glad he will be older) and I REALLY can't wait for Talon and Miller's story! They had me squealing at the "more the merrier" thing and when Talon walked in on them and WATCHED!!! I knew it was going to happen and I died when I realized I was right and he was in the room. I can't wait for their book.

I'm also so excited for Ollie's book because I already read the CU series so I know him from that! I can't wait to see his story. And maybe I'll reread CU after just for these easter eggs of Damon and Ollie and others, knowing their stories now.

Edit on reread:

I loved Matt and Noah even more this time.

It was so fun seeing Jet!! He is so fucking unserious and funny and it was amazing seeing the start of Radioactive! It was also hilarious watching him rag on Noah for being old knowing he ends up with Soren who is the oldest of all of them.

I loved that we actually saw the (kind of) start of two couples in this book! Talon and Miller as well as Ollie and Lennon! It was so fun seeing those scenes since I know everything that led up to them and what comes next.
