If you like wine and/or champagne and historical fiction, you need to read Rebecca Rosenberg’s Champagne Widows series! Her newest book is Madame Pommery which is well researched and tells the story of the creator of brüt champagne. How gorgeous is this cover art?

Madame Pommery is an etiquette teacher and orphanage founder who turns to winemaking when her husband suddenly dies. She’s unable to drink the red wine they make and wants to make a champagne that’s not as sweet as what’s in fashion at the time. Set amidst the Franco-Prussian war, the story explores love and loss with the true story of a woman defying expectations.

Thank you to the author, Rebecca Rosenberg and @bookandwinelovers for the copy of this book.
