Emily makes some very interesting points, and I had to work a little harder at battling some internal misogyny while reading it. There's just something so difficult about reading about the most beautiful girl in the world complain about being paid to go on vacation by posing in some pictures. While struggling through reading passages like those, there were also lots of portions of this book that were eye opening, heart breaking, and I actually enjoyed it overall. I probably wouldn't recommend this book to everyone, but its a simple memoir that can be picked up anytime.

Jennette McCurdy went through hell and back and came out the way she did. What a shockingly honest, sad, and haunting memoir. She's a fierce truth teller and I recommend this book to everyone.
hopeful lighthearted

Lots of moving plot lines in the book; Ari's relationship with her cousin, her sister, her parents, and her work and work-life balance and passions (i.e. travelling and planning), alongside Jihoon, his relationship with Ari and the band and his work. It was nice to hear how all these relationships and passions and plot lines get wrapped up at the end with no stone left unturned. Very easy listening. Enjoyable, but not challenging and didn't provoke any thought. Just a great story, and that's enough for me :)
medium-paced

Entertaining, quick, easy read, however the Ellen Degeneres plot device was brutal and couldn't stop cringing from the first chapter. I wouldn't recommend this at all.

It was okay, not what i was expecting. learned a lot, but very repetitive info.

Deeply informative. The many different facests of male privilege and entitlement to "feminine goods" (sex, care, nurturing and reproductive labor) come as enthralling and perfectly articulated chapters. Loved this book, learned so much. I bought the book Invisible Women after reading this because Entitled references it in some chapters.

The Happiest Man on Earth

Eddie Jaku

DID NOT FINISH

I'm not in a mentally sound place to read about Eddie's accounts in Nazi Germany. I wish I could get through this but not at this time. I hope to revisit it in the future, as I see there's so much to learn from this man's philosophy and mindset and experience.
