Read this because I kept seeing it suggested on tiktok as a good holiday read but it isn’t exactly a Christmas themed book. A lot of important events in the characters lives happen around the holidays but since the book follows these characters for about 10 years it isn’t focused on the holidays.
The book is somewhat depressing at times as you watch the characters relationships ebb and flow and most of the book I was hoping for the FMC to just get over the MMC and get on with her life but of course that couldn’t happen.
The ending was quite disappointing to me and this book could very badly use an epilogue.

A cute very holiday book. So much of the plot is kind of far fetched but you just have to adjust your expectations for Christmas themed stories I think. I really didn’t love how okay with cheating most of the characters are but if they weren’t the whole plot wouldn’t really work. I also noticed the author used the terms quarter moon or half moon smile a lot which definitely started to bug me by the end. Over all a fun book for December

I am mostly a fantasy reader so it took some time for me to get into this book as it’s mainly about regular people going through shitty things in their lives and I’m just not used to books about normal peoples lives and problems. Aside from that I enjoyed the twists and turns in the story tho I didn’t find the ending as satisfying as I wanted it to be.

Not as witchy as I was expecting it to be based on many social media recommendations and the magic is never really explained but it is also not really at the forefront of the story.

Really loved that there was a different narrator for each of the POVs in the audiobook which made it very easy to follow.

I hesitant to label this as a cozy book but the coming together of the 3 Weyward women’s stories is quite touching by the end even if they all had quite horrible things done to them.

It’s so interesting to get a book from the villains perspective. Really thought this book was going to be a redemption for Snow going in but really it shows that he chose to be as awful as he is even when given so many chances to be kind.
