an essential batman story, Tim Sales artwork definitely is something that can put people off this, but in my opinion its some of the best, most original comic art i’ve seen, obviously his characters are spectacular, with extravagant silhouettes and almost supernatural anatomy, but i think Sale’s artwork of the settings like the courtroom, wayne manor etc are truly something to behold
its an amazing noir tale that kept me hooked even on reread, and an entertaining read throughout

cant really rate it as i just read it as a palate cleanser after 1984, it has some cute stories with really good artwork and some funny old fashioned phrases.
its good enough to have me interested, but its nothing special really. I do like how Kenan Kong, while not exactly the boyscout Clark is, has that human quality that Batman and Wonder Woman in this book didnt have (the scene where he looks the little girl in her eyes)
the art wasnt the greatest, but it was far from bad, and i liked some of the villain designs
overall its an average story but an interesting twist on Siperman

i have no idea who space ghost even is, i picked this up because it was cheap and the cover and title was awesome. It honestly pretty good!
the artwork is absolutely beautiful, i think its a good middle ground between traditional comic art and painterly Alex Ross style art, Ariel Olivetti knocks it out of the park
I am also a sucker for superhumans learning to become humans, the space ghost starts out seeking vengeance but later develops to be a good old fashioned hero
the action sequences were great, and it makes me genuinely excited to see the cartoon and i hope it lives up!

might be even better than the long halloween, sales artwork is even better in this.
super entertaining story that had me hooked cover to cover, an entertaining mystery and of course an amazing origin for Robin

its really interesting to see Tim Sales art change from this to TLH to dark victory, his art here is much more… uncanny but im glad he found his footing on Batman. Too bad the colouring is different, this would look awesome with the flat colours in TLH and dark victory
The story is also pretty good, three short stories but theres a recurring theme of Batman grieving his parents, and of him learning to “be” Bruce Wayne behind the playboy mask
Its solid, and i wish i had read it on halloween
