This is my least favorite book of the entire series. I just feel like the whole traveling back to past lives bit was pointless and they could have all been summarized in to a short novella. The ending was interesting though and sets up the next book nicely.

I did not expect this book to be so good, but omg I am in love. 😍

This book was the perfect smut to plot ratio and on top of that had some light horror aspects and an amazing demon/human love story. I am now obsessed and Leon is my newest book boyfriend and I will be starting the next book immediately!

I was so bored, it was reading like a poorly written fan fiction and I could not stop yawning. I get every book needs world building, but this was a snooze fest.

Repetitive and too long for a silly shifter romance and the FMC is annoying asf

4.25⭐️ - While reading, I just kept thinking “they didn’t burn witches, they burnt women”. Because, let’s be honest, women have always been the villain in every man’s story and during the witch trials, what easier way to be rid of a woman who scorned you?

I loved this book, it was amazing. The story follows Fritzi, an actual witch, as a traumatic event occurs to her coven and she finds herself on the run to save her cousin. During her flight from home, she runs in to a witch hunter, Otto, and they quickly find themselves needing to work together to save each other and their world.

This takes place in Germany and I love the historical details they based the story around as the witch trials were a very real and very horrific part of our history when mostly women were burnt at a stake for being a “witch”. So I loved the accuracy here especially the parallels with the Catholic Church and their part in the trials. I especially loved the subtle jabs regarding “good” Christians. As an atheist who has religious trauma, I can respect the honesty and accuracy here. However, there was A LOT of info dumping throughout the story that sometimes it did read a lot like a history book.

I also loved Otto and Fritzi and their connection to each other and who they are separately and the growth throughout the story. But if they said Schiesse one more time, I was gonna lose it.

The book could have also used another round of edits as I found quite a few misspellings and punctuation errors throughout.

But overall, it was a good story with solid characters and world building and I will definitely be picking up book 2.

As always, if Graphic Audio creates it, I’m gonna listen to it.

This was a re-read for me as I have already read this book, but when I seen it came out on GA, I knew it was time for that re-read. And it did not disappoint. I actually think I enjoyed the story even more this time.

The casting is perfect, the background music is amazing, everything is immaculate.

This book is such an adorable little fluffy romance. Perfect if you need a palette cleanser in between heavier reads or if you just want something cute for the day.

This is book 2 in the interconnected When in Rome series, I definitely would recommend reading When in Rome first because that’s where Will, the mmc is first introduced. And there are a lot of references from that book in this one as this revolves around Annie, Will’s sister.

This one has a fake relationship between Will, a hot “serial dater” bodyguard and Annie, an introverted bookworm who owns a flower shop. This was so freaking cute and I am obsessed with this series.

A solid 4.5⭐️ - why did I wait so long to even read this? And start this series?

This is marketed as an RH and yeah, we are def getting there. Slowly. This book was mainly plot, we had a lot of ground to cover as why Elise is at this academy and her search for what became of her brother. Now we do get some spicy scenes and angsty scenes in between the mystery being solved. And this is multi pov.

Leon is my fave so far and Gabriel is a close second. Two complete opposites but I adore them.

I’m definitely getting the next book asap as that ending has me shook and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

I’ll do a more in depth review when I finish the last book of the series.

This is one of those books where you stay strictly for the vibes.

I got this book because of Booktok and I ended up listening to it on audio. If I’m being honest, I would have DNFed this had I read it. But the narrators kept me entertained.

This book is for you if you are obsessed with #masktok and wonder what it would be like if one of your fave mask tok guys actually picked you. Reason 1 why I found it cringe. It was also marketed as a Butcher & Blackbird knockoff essentially. Where? B&B was a masterpiece with very dark themes. This was like the PG version of that.

It’s not a bad book though. I found parts to be cringe and it was not very dark imo and there also wasn’t much spice. It was more funny than anything. So it was entertaining and the writing also was not bad for this being their debut novel. Would I read more books set in this world though? Probably not. But that’s just me.

You’ll love this book if you love masked men who are secretly cinnamon rolls, and comedy with your romance.

For me, the cat was the star of this book. 🐈‍⬛ 😂
