Definitely a filler volume after everything that happened in vol 7. Kind of expected that though, so we can be filled in on where everybody is now. Still a good volume, just not an absolute page turner.

Excellent story idea, poor execution. It took me two weeks to go even get through this because I was bored out of my mind.

The characters are all poorly written with little to no depth or growth. The plot was all over the place, I don’t even think the author really knew where they wanted the story to go.

I should have DNFed. But this is only book 1 so I am gonna give book 2 a try still.

How do I just continue life after this?  What even is life? What even is? What even? What? 😭😭😭

4.5⭐️. My mind is blown. I had NO idea where this book would go. I kept trying to guess, ALL WRONG. Bruh.

My first ever Rina Kent book and I am blown away. I love her writing and storytelling.

I was a tad bit put off when I realized they were in High School, I was thinking they were in college, so I just kept pretending it was in fact college to get past that minor ick of mine.

Definitely excited to continue reading her books though, I am going by the reading order that is on her website!

Seriously obsessing over this series right now. 😍

wtf was this? Two stars, just for Warner, Kenji, and Juliette. Who were side characters in this one. Yikes. 😅😂

I wanted to DNF but Warner and Kenji kept me going because I love them so much and missed them. But this was boring. Rosabelle is the most boring character I have read all year, she is my least favorite character of THE ENTIRE YEAR. “Wahh my sister” “wah I’m dead inside”, every single fucken chapter.

And I swear bro if someone just stared blankly at me with their orbs like she kept doing? I’m slapping a ho, be so fr. 😂

James wasn’t horrible, he reminded me a lot like Kenji, but with more whining.

The narrator for James though? Fucken fantastic. 🥵

So yeah man, idk what to tell ya, I would only recommend wasting through this if it’s the audio and you need Warner and Kenji crumbs. Just my opinion. I will probably still read the next book for more of those crumbs and to see if we get any type of character development finally. K, bye

A million stars, for the devastation this book has caused me alone.

I am not okay.

I am unwell.

I will never be okay again after reading this book.

Books aren’t political? You have obviously never read a single Hunger Games book. 😭😭😭

Haymitch the man that you are. I have always loved Haymitch, ALWAYS. But now knowing his story? 😭 I adore him and everything he is.

Okay, I’m gonna go stare at a wall now and question my decision to read this book and destroy my entire soul. Bye.

That Anzai and Tsukasa scene? 🥵🤭

Johannes you beautiful strange man who just wanted to see the sky. 😭

I am so in love with these characters and this story.
