That Anzai and Tsukasa scene? 🥵🤭

Johannes you beautiful strange man who just wanted to see the sky. 😭

I am so in love with these characters and this story.

Rivals to lovers, small town, SOOOOOOO FREAKIN CUTE.

I am literally swooning for each of these books in this series, and Emily’s story is pure perfection. Little miss needs to always be helpful and go above and beyond for everybody meets another people pleaser and they are rivals all throughout school while secretly harboring the cutest, most adorable, little crush on each other? Bruh, just go read this series.

They are the perfect palette cleansers. Will and Annie are still my faves though. 🤭

LJ writes the most beautiful stories. I will accept 0 criticism on any of her books.

I have been obsessed with Ari since we first met him, he was just funny, yet sweet, and would do absolutely anything for those he cares for. So I NEEDED this story, it was everything I could have hoped for and so much more.

& Saga is perfect, don’t come for her, I too will protect her with everything in me.

This entire series is perfection and I cannot wait to start book 8, I am so close to finally reading The Ever King. 😂

If you love Vikings, romantasy, and the most delicious slow burn romances, start this series! Do NOT add it to your TBR! Go buy it now and read it right now. Trust me. 😘 it’s also on KU!

Well that all happened. 👀
This volume was crazy, yet also adorable.
Anzai’s protectiveness with Tsukasa could defrost even the most frozen of hearts. I love them so much. 🥰

Still really liking the series overall and I have a feeling that I’m gonna love it as a whole, but this volume was just very slow paced, like VERY slow.

But we are getting more insight in to our characters and more relationship growth and a lot more drama. I am excited to start the next volume!

The cliffhanger just did me in, bruh, why?

I have so many conflicting thoughts on this book and that alone is what makes this story impactful for me.

The mother- made me so extremely angry. I get that’s your kid, I do. However, the constant making excuses for him and acting like he has it worse than the people he hurt? Ugh, please stop. He’s a child, yes, love him and show empathy. But do not excuse his actions and downplay those he’s hurt. That was pissing me off.

The dad and the revelation at the end? Unsurprised, I had a feeling the whole book.

Noah, I do feel for, because he is a child himself and he is aware of his actions and how he is harming others. He is not innocent but he is also self aware and doesn’t make excuses for himself, which made me feel empathy towards him and not be as disgusted as I was in the beginning.

Overall this was a very thought provoking and complicated book and worth the read.

Dark, romantic, suspenseful - the top 3 words that come to mind when I think of this book.

It was a whole ride and I highly enjoyed it. It is completely different from the trilogy that first made me fall in love with Holly’s writing so I did not base my rating or review in comparison like I seen so many other reviews do.

This is its own world, more adult than ya, completely different plot and setting. So stop comparing apples to oranges when writing reviews for the same author, it’s weird.

Anyways, I can’t wait for book 2 as this book left me with so many more questions on this world.
