Obviously kept listening to it bc I wanted to know the why and what’s going to happen next. And I do think about the book often. But I still can’t decide if the little girl was actually evil or not. And I did t like the mom even if the girl was evil. It was just odd.

Loved this! Loved how it was based off of a true story , learning about the history, and the research that was done for the book. Will recommend to all!

Just know there is very little romance in this book. Perfect coming of age book for a teenager. A few cuss words and mentions of sex/ loosing virginity, etc. But still enjoyable for adults. As someone who struggles with anxiety I connected with the character. It was a cute, easy, quick read.

Spoiler

I gave it 4 stars bc I wanted to know more about the after and what Dr. Lowen that had to say but the book just left that connection off. Like the books starts with this research project and then mentions it at the end but no clues as to that connection. What was the point of that part of the story?

3.5 stars. I didn’t hate it. I wanted to finish it and it kept me engaged. Which is very important to me. But I kept struggling with all the characters and following they’re storylines. I couldn’t remember which child belonged to who or which husband belong to each wife. I think that was my biggest frustration. I think once I got to the end I figured out who was who haha. The epilogue made me actually lol. Overall it was a good read.
