This book is a great read that showcases so much emotion. On one hand you have Rey who is suffering lost years upon years and doesn't know how to deal. Liam who is trying to reach out to her and Hayden who you want to hate but can't. The dynamic of loss at such a young age coupled with her mothers lack of emotion makes for an interesting read.

Elle grew up rough then had a change of luck when a stranger she didn't even know she was connected to reaches out and plucks her from her dark beginnings to quite a plush life. The storyline was great and the characters were really entertaining. Reed the leader of the pack, Easton the rebel and twins who like to switch ! I must warn you don't read unless you plan on reading the entire series because it has a serious spoiler !!!!!

This story spoke on issues of anxiety, ADHD, Depression etc. that aren't always publicized especially in the romance genres. Kade and Lexie were quite the pair, one who knows the issues intimately having grown up with it and the other who has lived with two persons battling it. That they both found reprieve with each other and a source of comfort was great.

Kade the "man on edge" hooking up with Lexie the "caretaker" was a given. I didn't really feel a connection with the secondary characters which didn't compel me to read other books though I would.

If you want the predictable ending with the touch guy and the nice girl this is for you.

MC series are my thing and I am easily addicted however this wasn't the case. I really wanted to like this book but *sigh*

Dex who was recently released from prison heads back home to his club and his woman Ava. First look upon Ava and he thinks she is with Sly. At this moment I thought YESSSS violence MC style however it fell flat really fast. I really liked the backstory of Ava applying to the army then becoming a nurse etc. but the scenes didn't feel cohesive enough for me and I wanted moreee.

I wanted more dramam, more romance, more violence and fighting more sex !! Even addressing some of the underlying issues of being a discharged from the army to me weren't covered. This book didn't do it for me as it felt a bit rushed coming down to the end.

"The sole of my single bloody shoe print leading to where I sit, like a road map to my demise, and I think about the only thing that makes sense.I think about her."

Is this an opening line or what ????

This book knocked my socks off and left me wanting moreeeeee. Lucas and Lois/Laney are riveting together and even apart. I also love that the book gave me their two perspectives as it allows the reader to connect much more deeply with the characters. I mean "Clark Kent and Lois Lane" Priceless. I also loved how we got to see them from the beginning and grow with them, "I was eleven and he was cute."

The connection also extended to the "L" family where I got some major family feels with their mom Kathy (still reeling from her) Logan with his bad boy demeanor "your mums a smelly old bitch" loved that line! Lachlan also stole my heart with his witty innocent, I sense a heart breaker when he grows up (sooooo cute even his baby talk). His parrot syndrome carried well throughout the story with repeats such as “sexing, sexing and Eat his booty like groceries" CLASSIC lol

Back to Lois and Lucas, boy oh boy *sigh* Lucy has some serious mama issues then meets Lucas who instantly becomes her bff/I am not good enough to be your boyfriend yet *super frustrating* This quote sums it up pretty well "Because that’s how we worked, Luke and me.He was a tease. And I was a joke." Then it progressed into some hot steamy naughty followed by a big can of NOPE.

Enter our quintessential bad boy Cooper who swoops in to rescue her from heartbreak but then proceeds to screw her up even more. Then as always in comes Lucas who I admit won me over with:

“Because I want to kiss you, Lane. Because I want to wipe the memory of every other asshole who’s ever touched these lips."

I really started hating him for his procrastination then he hits you with "SWOON"

“As much as I want this, want you, I can’t do it like this. When we do it again, I want to have earned it. I want it to mean everything. I don’t want us to walk away with any regrets. From now on, I’m going to do it right."

All the excitement aside I am so glad this book wasn't another conventional romance but really touched on some serious issues such as abuse. A powerful lesson was portrayed about people making excuses for those who abuse them and labeling it as love. When parents think actually “parenting” is too harsh. When you set a precedent for your children that when followed leads to destruction.

I really felt as if I was on an emotional roller coaster coming down to the end as it all hit so fast. WHAMMY, WHAMMY WHAMMY !

I cried like a bitch !!!!!!!! Lucas made some pretty powerful comments that literally tugged at my heart strings. The hospital confession had me literally sobbing with some serious feels in the chest "he puched me then f**ked me? " Talk about pulling the wool from everyones eyes I was like WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

I was really happy with the ending which is saying something and am super excited to read Logans story and everyone elses. This book was a total balance of funny wit, dark realities of life and steamy romance. I read a lot about the power and importance of family but I really think the author wove an amazing story!

Definitely wouldnt mind reading more "sexting" and ghetto rap. My favorite line is
"I guess it felt wrong to say it, but it definitely feels right to live it.”
