I have not been able to read a full book in a good while.

But once I sat down and committed to reading this one, I fell in love with reading again.

I fell in love with Monty’s complexities and Percy’s sensibility and Felicity’s bravery.

Usually when a book has this many twists, I can’t get myself to enjoy it. But these twists excited me and made me nervous in the best way.

One of the quotes caught me. “There is life after survival.”

That is so important for these characters and for me in my life. Thank you, Mackenzi Lee for writing this book and reminding me that there is more to people than what they survive. There is more to me, and to Monty than what we’ve been put through.

Read this book, and remember that people grow and people live.

This book broke my heart and then pieced it back together.

After finishing this book, I couldn’t help but hold it to my heart. It means so much to me.

Ari and Dante fall in love in a way that I crave. Simple and slow. It’s beautiful and makes sense.

Ari feels broken in a way that I can’t help but feel as well. We aren’t broken, just a little hurt. It’s okay to hurt and this book reminded me of that.

The way Ari and Dante’s family feel makes me love my family as well. I’m also crazy about my parents and I hope my future children feel this as well.

Read this book if you want to feel your feelings and remind yourself to talk even when it hurts.
