Normal People by Sally Rooney

I loved the book at the beginning, hated the middle, but the last 50 or so pages got me liking it somewhat again. Not terrible, but not as phenomenal as I was expecting and hoping for.
I Have No Secrets by Penny Joelson

This was a nice read, I loved the concept and characters. I know this is a YA novel, but the writing itself seemed very (VERY) YA at times. the sniffer concept to get Jemma to communicate was pretty interesting, and to find that it's based on something real is even more interesting!
Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky

4.5 of 5 stars!!
This book was super lengthy, but the length worked. This is such a different book than Chbosky's debut novel!
I must say, I'm from the western PA area, and know all of the places he referenced, and he was spot on with some of the places and that made this even spookier of a read!

So many twists that I just didn't see coming! I literally have no words. Not to mention the storyline and how so many little things are connected. Just wow! This is definitely one of my top thrillers!!
The Whisper Man by Alex North

4.5! This read had more twists and turns than most of the roads I drive here in PA
Recursion by Blake Crouch

4.5 of 5. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star was the sci-fi aspect of this for me, being my first sci-fi book, made it challenging to follow along. The central focus of the novel, memories and how the mind works, is so intriguing to me! On top of that, you get characters with great development, struggling with both interpersonal as well as intrapersobal conflict. Putting myself in their shoes, I wonder what I would do. Also the ending.. I NEED more!
