This book has impressed me time and time again with its scientific mind and limitless endeavors that characterize impenetrable optimism, faith, and hope when pitted against the greatest of threats to one's life. I love books that teach me a lesson that I know I will apply to my life. This book has done just that. Optimism proves incredible purpose in this battle for survival, and it's a necessity rather than a luxury when faced with impossible odds like Mark Watney's.
