Sophocles I: Antigone/Oedipus the King/Oedipus at Colonus by Sophocles

Paganism and demon idols lead to a rough life. Uff.

Enjoyed it. The television show followed the book quite closely too. 

The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls: Race to the Ark, Book 2 by M.J. Thomas

My 8 year old read this one to me. She is working through the set. Great for early readers and it also gave us opportunity to talk about the Bible. 

The Witches: Salem, 1692 by Stacy Schiff

A good narrative history of events. Schiff presupposes that supernatural things do not exist, and this colors her interpretation of history. But I ask, what if some were indeed witches?

Aeschylus II: The Oresteia: Agamemnon, The Libation Bearers, The Eumenides, Proteus (Fragments) by Richmond Lattimore, Aeschylus, David Grene

A vivid translation. Some great lines of poetry in here. I liked it more than I thought I would. 

The Taste of Sabbath: How to Delight in God's Rest by Stuart Bryan

Just great. Buy yourself a copy, then buy some to give away. May the church be joyful again. 

The Last Days of Socrates by Plato

Greek philosophy is wearisome, but it is very clear that apart from God and His revelation, everyone is blind and leading the blind. 

Postpartum Depression: Stopping the Spiral with His Sufficient Word by Shelbi Cullen

Helpful. 

Peter Nimble and His Fantastic Eyes by Jonathan Auxier

Good deal of fun, very clever. It has dark moments, but it is also playful and joyful. I like Auxier's books. 

8 Errors Parents Make and How to Avoid Them: Parenting Book, Practical Guide for Christian Parenting, Positive Parenting Book for Parents by Michael Brock, Michael Brock

Good stuff. Parents should read this once a year.
