Good thriller. Kind of like Blake Crouch. Compliments to both authors.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 36%.
Too much explicit sexual content.
Suffering: Gospel Hope When Life Doesn't Make Sense by Paul David Tripp

Overall, a decent book. Helpful in its own way, but Tripp seems to think grace is a force, or something over there you can go grab. I am also unsure if he believes that we will be resurrected on earth and that we will live on earth forever. Heave is not our home, the earth is.

I liked these short stories. Atmospheric. The endings of some of them didn’t land for me though.

A thoughtful exploration of life, with all the loyalty and betrayal and love and death that comes along with it. I enjoyed reading this.
For Signs and Seasons: A Primer on the Church Calendar by Duane Garner

The introduction and conclusion are great. The chapters for each of the days and seasons of the church calendar are to the point, pithy, with helpful guides for reading and singing. A useful little book to keep on hand as your family moves through the life of Christ reflected in the calendar year.
