The most terrifying portrayal of The Joker I've read. Fantastic story.

A stunning, vibrant take on the origin of the Dark Knight. Scott Snyder achieves his goal of creating s story so different from Year One but just as personal. The art from Capullo has also never looked better.

The first five issues of this VERY slowly transitions us to a new Thor. We still see old Thor (Odinson) quite a bit as well as the politics of Asgardia. Luckily this new Thor is very cool and charismatic so I'm thinking the next batch of issues should be a little more exciting.

Pretty much just a long melee, but a very interesting one.

I love the beautiful prose given by French, and her characters are constantly shifting and complex beings. This is the second of this series and yet again I find myself heavily disliking the protagonist late in the novel. But unlike with Rob, Cassie's journey ends in a way where I once again root for her while feeling such pity for a group of people that shouldn't deserve any. French gets what makes a good mystery novel. Character first, plot second.
