Reads like a throwback to Fear Street. Somewhat more elevated of course, because it’s not written with the same audience in mind, but felt like it would be at home next to the Cheerleader saga. Not sure the structure added much to the narrative, but it worked. I’d be interested in seeing what she writes next.
