I didn’t think an audiobook could outdo Butcher & Blackbird but I should have known Brynn Weaver would not disappoint! Not only was the narration pure smutty perfection, but the story was soooo good!  I loved being along for the ride as Lark and Lachlan learned to love each other. The banter was witty and the plot was intriguing. Adding the villain’s POV was a great touch! I also loved Ethel! I am intrigued to see what happens next for the Cane crew!!!!!

Once again I was pulled into the world of Ekotoria and the emotional turmoil of the two human sisters fighting to survive in the world of the Fae. I really love the characters and these books are written in a way that pulls me in and makes me feel as if I am experiencing the emotions and events that each character goes through. I really love multiple POVs and this one did not disappoint as we get to experience the story through the eyes of several different characters. And that cliffhanger!!! I am SO happy I already have the third book and can jump right in! I cannot wait to see how the trilogy concludes!

This book takes romantasy and adds new and intriguing elements to immerse the reader in the world of Ekotoria. I love the integration of the phoenixes (my favorite mythical creature). C.A.  Arian weaves a tale that pulls the reader in and makes us feel invested in the fate of the Agrecians. I can’t wait to read the next book!

If you love plot twists and a story that keeps you guessing, then this series is for you!

The adventure continues in Book two, this time focusing on Tella vs Scarlett (the FMC in Caraval).  I loved this story even more and although I did figure out some plot points, plenty still shocked me!

In the end, I’m left not knowing how to feel or who to root for. So on to the Finale to get my questions answered and see how this saga ends!
