I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed reading this complex and rich book. Zadie Smith creates such complex and often unlikeable character, with such sharp contradictions, assessments, and analyses of modern cultures. And all through a retelling of Howard’s End! A must read SO GOOD.

Wow. Ishiguro’s command of memory and it’s imprint on our lives is so heartbreaking and stunning. A slow, sad, and reflective read.

this is my favorite realistic YA that i’ve read this years (also my favorite mystery). fast paced, suspenseful, imaginative, and filled with complex characters. and anything with a girl detective is such a win
