My first time reading this author, and I had a difficult time reading this book.

I enjoyed the banter, the enemies to more, and hockey. The blurb caught my interest, this is why I chose the book.

The early part of the book moved too quickly, I found myself re-reading parts, and getting lost or distracted easily. The middle does pick up and hold my attention. Also, I kept waiting for Molly's backstory, we eventually do get it. And the blurb that drew me in, does not really describe the book, in my opinion.

While this book did not work for me, give it a try and see if it works for you.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Right?

I loved the first book by this author, the second did not disappoint. A true storyteller, I fell into the story quickly, and read it much too fast. I love the characters, Dylan and Poppy have great banter, the angst is perfection, and Isobel stole my heart.

Dylan and Poppy have a history, she has returned after ten years. Dylan sees a different Poppy, even though she has loved him since childhood. I love the Davenport family, and their found family.

What makes this special is the moments, expect to laugh, swoon, giggle, and smile, all throughout the book.

I have been reading this series from the beginning, was thrilled when we found out about book five. I have fallen in love with every couple, and cleared my schedule for every release.

This is a special series, each couple worms their way into your heart. Caden and Adrianne are no exception. As friends and then lovers, he is the one who is anti-relationship, yet he is working awfully hard for Adrienne’s attention.

I will miss this small town, the bar, and mostly the found family they have created.

The bonus scene, do not skip this, it has made me want to start the series over from the beginning. I am going to miss this crüe!

Turn off the stadium lights, we have attended our last Treasure State Wildcats game. The perfect story to close out the series. I loved everything about this book and the series, the flaws, the angst, the banter.

What starts as a wish from Maverick’s mom, becomes fake dating (not a secret), lines are blurred; is love next? The writing is the star of this story, the emotions, the feelings, the tears, and the laughs.

Stevie and Maverick are neighbors and were best friends. But a fight at a young age, and Stevie being stubborn, they are currently at odds. As the enemies become friends, the happy go lucky football star finds life is not being kind.

I have loved every book Devney Perry has written, her care with the more challenging subjects, her characters are real, and no two stories are alike. I am looking forward to what she brings us next.

Unafraid: A Small Town, Friends to Lovers, Romantic Suspense by Nyssa Kathryn

A great start to a new series. Nyssa Katheryn is a one click, go in blind author for me and I am never disappointed. Her storytelling is getting better with each series.

Aspen Davis needs a fresh start, a romance writer with plenty of baggage. She finds herself in Amber Ridge, renting a room from an old friend, Jesse. He is former special forces and current small town sheriff. Her troubles follow her, and Jesse has tasked himself to keep her safe.

The story is filled with suspense, twists, and romance. I was hooked in quickly, and the mystery kept me guessing.

Grab this small town second chance story! A little different for Ms. Hunter and I loved it.
Noel and Parker are best friends and at graduation he asks her to go to LA with him. Ten years later he has achieved his dream. Returning home for the opening of the old theater, he runs into Parker, only to realize she hates him. His feelings, however, have not changed.

The setting is a quirky town, with wonderful side characters. Will Noel and Parker find their way back?

I was looking forward to this book, the tropes and blurb sold me. I love small town, slow burn, some suspense, and grumpy/sunshine. There are parts I found clever, plus the coffee deliveries and coffee walks!

I did find the story, ok, but I did find myself distracted, and easily pulled away from the book. However, the slow burn was done well, and once our Graham and Francesca figured things out, the chemistry and spice were there. I also felt some pieces fell into a plot hole, as I still have some details that were not addressed.

Even though this was not the book for me, it is not enough to keep me from reading the next book in the series, and I hope others enjoy the story.
Quitting the Quarterback by Lisa Suzanne

Another great couple, I have read every book this author has written, and I am amazed how her stories and couples are always fresh. Quitting the Quarterback is a fun read. Great banter, mistaken identity, divorce revenge, forbidden/secret relationship, and organized chaos.

Tanner Banks has been traded and stops in Vegas to celebrate with his newfound half-brothers. He meets Cassie, who is celebrating her divorce. One night together, and they part ways.

Cassie is getting back on her feet. Interfering in her life, and having no right to, her ex will not go away. She and Tanner are both surprised when he walks into her office after an injury. Will these two keep things professional?

There are ups and downs, drama, a slimy disgruntled ex, character growth, and a wonderful ending.

However, I do miss this author’s cliffhangers. #dontjudgeme

I always love when an Elsie Silver book lands on my kindle. Tabitha and Rhys have a great story, and I feel we get a little extra with this book. More angst, emotions jump from the page, and Milo. He is a cute three year old who needs a family.

If you love small town, marriage of convenience, with plenty of angst give this book a try.
