We are back in Ember Falls, I was so ready for this visit. Miles, Penny, and Kai have a great story, and Miles is a charming and swoon worthy character. Penny is on the run, which sets up the story's suspense.

Penny is already one foot out the door, and never fully settles into Amber Falls, she is on high alert for the call to tell her move. Miles is smitten with the new barista, but she has high walls, and I love seeing how he gains her trust, can he lower her walls as well?

I love the support the town shows Penny and Kai. The banter between Miles, his twin sister, and his brother in law are the best. As usual, a Corinne Micheals book does not sit on my Kindle long before it is read; this one is no exception.

In this first in series, we return to Bitterroot Valley and get more of Dani Lexington’s story. Her story and her sibling's childhood were at the hands of a monster, and had it not been for her brother, their lives would be a lot different.

Bridger Blackwell is the best friend of Dani’s brother, and her unofficial protector. She is no longer off limits, and Bridger has taken notice.

I enjoyed the Wilds, and was excited to hear we are not leaving the Bitterroot Valley. I was not disappointed. Bridger and Dani have a wonderful story, of love, and healing. This series is off to a great start, plenty of love, and a little mystery, as someone is trying to burn down home in the area.

Dangerously Yours by Anise Storm

My first book by this author, and I enjoyed the story. The writing had me annoyed at the entitlement, but once past that, the story had me hooked. There is plenty of excitement, drama, temptation, and desire.

The reverse age gap is well done; Noah is confident, he is a Titan. Lucy is in his crosshairs. She is involved in a nasty fight for her kids, but cannot deny her attraction to Noah. The anticipation is tangible, not sure of what will happen next, I love this feeling.

 When Dreams Become Nightmares

This book will take you for an emotional ride; the first half hits all the emotions and follows a young girl whose dreams take her out of her comfort of a small town to the big city, where she makes a deal with the devil to reach those dreams.

Cole and Trina were high school sweethearts, but her dreams took her away, while he stayed behind. Call it fate that years later the two run into each other and with the help of friends, get her out of a bad situation.

Cole has a protective nature, can he help her when the danger returns?

I was hooked from the first page. I am not usually drawn to darkness this story has, but I kept reading as I needed to know how it was all to play out.

While I am not a fan of insta love, it works in this book!  Hayes just knew Olivia was the one.

The writing, the characters, and the story are all above my expectations for a new author.  Olivia could be my best friend, she is not perfect, she has self doubts, just like us!  Hayes, the man is book boyfriend material.  He has just been traded to the Milwaukee Steel Riders, and is immediately smitten with their Anthem Singer.  Their story is recommended by this reader.

We do get hints for the next book and I am excited for it to get here.

I love finding new authors, and when I get the privilege of finding a debut author with promise, they will have a hard time shaking this stalker!  I am looking forward to reading Ellie K Drake for a long time.

I sat down to write my review, due to a head cold the details were fuzzy! A “quick refresh” had me hooked all over again, and I enjoyed the book the second time as much as the first!

From how they met the first and second time, I was hooked! Maeve, single mom, super woman business owner, and likes to be in control. Logan is a laid back gazillionaire, who is a game designer and whose inspiration has dried up.

A flight delay, a conversation in a bar, and Maeve is changing her rules, for one night. But it is not one night, and Maeve finds herself in a situation where lines need to be drawn, but they get murky quickly.
I love how he falls first and hard, the banter is spot on, makes for a fun and easy read. I loved the first book, and I cannot wait for more of this series.

Playing Mr. Perfect: Clay Braden by Melissa Foster

A warm romance hug from Melissa Foster! The Characters, the location, the writing, all the big family noise, the banter, the spice, all wrapped up in a love story I know I will be re-reading!

Clay is the quarterback, contemplating retirement, but notices all her small details. Pepper is a scientist whose confidence outside work is growing throughout the book. In true Melissa Foster fashion, she delivers another great book in her Braden series.

Second chances is my favorite trope, add it with a sports romance, and I will one click that book! Playoff is a great read to fill my favorites.

Blake is a hockey player down in the minor leagues, looking for his break to move up to the “big” team. He is getting older and feels his chances are winding down. He finally gets the call, but the circumstances are a bit disheartening. He is there for his team.

Rowan is the trainer for the Phantoms, the one who got away and now must work with Blake.
Blake and Rowan had a nasty breakup; time has passed, but both are still harboring baggage and feelings. Both will need to work hard personally and professionally to prove they have changed.
Another great book in the series, and I am looking forward to the next book.

Captivating by Bella Matthews

Another guilty pleasure read from Bella Matthews. It is a story that reads fast, and is hard to put down. Kilian is the book boyfriend we all want!

Lilah and Killian have not been on the best of terms for about ten years, and miscommunication is the main reason for her hatred. Yet, the two cannot stop the love they have for each other. He is the only man our pop-princess will allow to be in her home as a bodyguard. As we are spoon fed bits and pieces of their past, we feel the need to know it all!

The angst is perfect, the family meddling necessary, and I did not want to see the book end.

Bourbon Summer by Walker Rose

The latest in the Bourbon Canyon series, and what a great read.  Impulsive decisions lead to a fun and a fake dating situation; we know how this will end.  Getting there will be a process, of healing, trusting, and learning to love and be loved.

Ruby, has a crush on her boss, and needs a plus one.  Tenor has a past that does not include love anymore.  Her ex has put her in a spot and Tenor agrees to help.  There is a delicious slow burn, a resolution that is worth the wait, and all the small town goodness that Walker Rose brings us in this series.
