This isn’t just another teen slasher. This is told from the perspective of the killer who is only just a teenager himself with a peanut allergy. Throughout the story I was going to rate it a 4, but once I got to the ending the origin story came together so nicely. I could definitely see this put to film. This was my first time reading this author, but I have my eyes on a few of his others now.

My friend described this book as a fever dream and I don’t disagree, it’s definitely a nightmare! I felt like I was being gaslighted the entire time combined with the Mandela effect! The confusion, the questions, the mix of memories and reality made me think I was going insane! I had an uneasy feeling and was genuinely scared! Thomas Faust is my true villain/monster and he is absolutely terrifying!
