I’m going to be upfront and say that this isn’t my type of book and I read it because it was kindly gifted to me to review. While the story held some intrigue for me, it ultimately wasn’t for me, but I still liked it at times. The book is well written and does transport you across time easily. This will be an enjoyable book for people who enjoy general fiction.

This book is so good! I loved the different timelines and POVs and this felt like so many different stories rolled into one. I’m also here for more Blue Mountains focused books as it’s not a focus as much in Australian novels. This was a quick and easy read that also brought out so many thoughts and emotions while reading.

This book was good, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

This book was good, but it could’ve been better.

A book filled with adventure, banter and wit. I quite enjoyed this and loved to see the relationship dynamic between mothers and daughters. I did find this a bit slow at times and the characters were a bit annoying. But I found this to be an overall good read.

Such a good read.

The small town romance with a writer finding new material to work with premise really had me intrigued. I found this to be a quick read however, it was predictable. While I usually don’t mind a predictable read, I need something that hooks me in and makes me enjoy it. I didn’t really have a hook with this and so, it fell a little flat. If you want a small town romance, then I’d recommend it, but it’s not the best thing ever and there are other Lucy Score books that are more enjoyable.

This book was good.

A step sibling sports romance?
The step sibling trope is also something I hesitate with, but I thought I would give it a go. For the most part, this book was good. I liked the spice, the sports and the general progression of the book. The step sibling trope did give me a small ick though and some of the dialogue just was a tad cringe. Other than that it was an enjoyable read.

Such a powerful book.
