This is an author I have come to love. They are easy historical fiction reads about love, family and friendship. Set in WW2 France, we see the strength it takes to keep Humpty alive and stand up for your country. As always with this author there is always a happy ever after with a side of death. She always throws in a good twist here and there, it's got a nice pace to it and keeps you wanting more.

A good 3.5/5 rating.

I absolutely adore this series. Family, love, friendship, duty and all wrapped up in the small village in England. This continues the family and land girls we have grown to love. As always everyone gets their happy ever after.

This book had me from the first pages. I was in. I was only going to read a few chapters. Well, I read it in one sitting. I loved the characters, they were well rounded but best of all they were funny. This book had me laughing out loud ( which I never do when reading), it had me crying but most of all it had me caring about the characters. I was ther with them feeling everything they felt.

The wisteria society of lady scoundrels by India Holton (book #1)
Well this book was quite the surprise. I did something I never do with this one and bought it on the premis of bridgerton meets peaky blinders. What I ended up with was more of bridgerton meets Enola Holmes. A book with pirates, flying town houses, assassination attempts, the Queen, tea, theft, guns, swords and a love story. It was funny, fast paced, twists and turns, I never knew what was going to happen next. I fun, light-hearted and all in all a well written story. Would I recommend it or read the second? Actually, surprisingly to myself yes. If historical fantasy is your thing (even if it's not) I would recommend it for a good holiday book or a very light read.

I'd even recommend it as a young adult book ( although there is a sex scene).

I absolutely loved book 1 and this book didn't fail to impress. As I enjoyed the first book so much I had high hopes. Carrie Clarke is now one of my go to authors.

This book was all about Josh ( the not marrying type) who is in love with Greer (his best friends younger sister. They have known each other since Greer was a child and she always had a crush on Josh. They meet at the airport after Josh has been out of the country for 10 year and Let's just say Greer did alot of growing up in that time. Flirting with her not even reading who she was.

You can't help bit fall in love with these two gorgeous, smart and witty MC's. As with the first book the side characters in this book are just as important to both character development and plot. The family is one you just want to be a part of. The love and support they have for each other is something special.

I didn't want to put this book down and I wasn't ready to leave the world of Greer and Josh.
