This book had its moments, however, I found it mostly boring and confusing. At this point, the plot has become so messy and convoluted due to all the time travel and alternate universes that I struggled to follow everything that was happening. It was trying to do way too much! Some characters disappeared halfway through the book, only to reappear randomly at the end. The ending felt rushed, and I didn't fully understand it.

This was cute, and I loved the art style. I just wish it was longer!

This book was so short that it only took me a couple of hours to read. Unfortunately, I found it boring and felt nothing while reading. I think that because it was so short, I didn't have enough time to get a feel for the characters and magic system.

Much like The Tainted Cup, the mystery and world-building are intriguing! Plus, Din and Ana have such a great dynamic that it's impossible not to love them!

From what I read of this book, it felt extremely generic. The characters, romance and world-building were unremarkable. I honestly struggled to feel anything while reading. I found it strange that many plot twists happened very early on in the story and were more told to us rather than shown gradually. Everything just kind of happened, and there wasn't enough emotional buildup.

I seriously can't get enough of these characters! I love how complex and unique they all are, and the character development was excellent! There were also a lot of interesting revelations about the liveships, serpents, and dragons. I will definitely be reading the next book as soon as possible!

I enjoyed this more than Heir of Fire since the pacing was better, and it felt like things were actually happening. I found Rowan more tolerable in this book, and the other new characters continued to grow on me as well. Still, I found Aelin's attitude so annoying, especially in the beginning, and I hate how Celaena and Chaol's relationship has been ruined for no reason.

This book pissed me off from the start! The main character's relationship is so toxic. I'm confused about why they don't just break up if they hate each other so much. This whole scheme about being horrible to each other to get the other to break up first doesn't even need to happen! The self-sabotage and lack of communication are infuriating! A lot of reviewers say it gets better in the second half, but I don't think I will be able to like these characters no matter what happens.

This was so heartbreaking! I liked this much more than The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. It felt similar to the first Hunger Games book, and I enjoyed Haymitch's narration. Even though we knew how the games ended, there were still so many surprises throughout the book. In the end, I'm not sure if this addition to the series was necessary, but I still really enjoyed it!
