What the f*** did I just read?

The writing was pretentious at best, the characters were not at all likeable and the spice seemed more for shock value than to add anything to the story.

Honestly this book made me feel icky and if it wasn’t for being part of my book club it would have been a DNF

This book has made me reconsider not reading blurbs before committing to a book

Thought provoking and intriguing , I found this book captivating right from the beginning.

I really enjoyed the multiple perspective/timeline of this book and seeing all the small ways the characters intersected even when their stories were being told decades apart. Hilda’s story in 2020 really hit home for me and brought back lots of memories of living in Victoria during the pandemic.

I felt that La and Maz could have been further explored and that their stories were left unfinished while Peggy’s story was too much a focus but overall I really enjoyed this book

While this was. Definitely a page turner, I found the twists to be quite predictable.

The characters all seemed to be rather one dimensional, although effectively written. The entirety of Ambers perspective of the book could have easily been 100 pages shorter
