Ok yall hear me out…

A morally grey cop kidnaps a girl who works in a flower shop on his beat (because she gives him a daisy) and keeps her in his basement to get her to fall in love with him…..

The smut in this book was fantastic, & I honestly really loved the writing too, THE PLOT TWIST IN THIS AT THE END HAD ME SOOOOO GAGGED. (It made the book SO much better, that ending 😅🥵)

this book is a prequel novella to her “Deal with the Devil” series (I believe?) and I will definitely read the rest of them because I really enjoyed this book, but the cop vibes just aren’t for me personally (acab) & I think I will definitely enjoy the other ones more!

Dr. Rath has done it again!! 🫠

This book had me sobbing, screaming, kicking my feet, laughing out loud, and my heart just completely exploding.

Poppy, Novy & Morrow’s story is such a tender, beautiful, (and oh so sexy) love story and I finished this book not knowing who was my favorite… I genuinely love them all too much 😭🥹

I typically don’t *love* books that include pregnancy (just honestly not at that point of my life yet 🤷🏼‍♀️) but the way that Dr. Rath writes her books, she could write all of my least favorite tropes into a book and I know I would still absolutely love it. She treats everything with such care and nuance, makes you really feel so deeply for the characters, and the pregnancies never feel forced into the stories, they always make total sense and truly make each couple’s story feel whole.

On The Line by Naomi Loud

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you wish FX’s The Bear had more sexual tension in it… this book is for you.

This book is HOT. I really don’t have any other descriptors for it.

Ozzy is the tattooed, charming, funny, bad boy line cook at Orso who falls for the new girl, James, when she starts working there to support herself after leaving her privileged life behind.

James chooses to change her major in College to persue her art and her rich authoritative father doesn’t like that and decides he will not support her anymore. She ends up moving out and needing a job, which is how she ends up at Orso. She also starts working at Orso while having a shitty abusive boyfriend who has allowed horrible things to happen to James (read TWs!!!)

Ozzy throws a wrench into James’ plans, and she quickly starts to have some serious character development & awakenings (including sexual awakenings)

Their sexual tension is insane & had me blushing, kicking my feet & giggling. The smut is also *chefs kiss* 🤌🏻👨🏻‍🍳

This book unlocked new kinks I didn’t even know I had, and I can’t wait to read more of Naomi Loud’s books in the future. I really loved the writing.

A Love Song for Ricki Wilde by Tia Williams

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is fucking fantastic. I savored it to the very last minute because I didn’t want it to end, and I was so invested in every single character that I didn’t want to see how it would end! 🫠

This book is written SO BEAUTIFULLY. I can not wait to read more of tia williams books, based on her writing alone I will immediately be reading Seven Days in June and will read anything she releases in the future.

I also read a huge chunk of this through the audiobook, and the narrators are fantastic, highly recommend listening to the audiobook!

Ezra has officially made it onto my list for top 3 favorite love interests ever, he’s soul-mates, fated-mates & love personified. I am obsessed with him. You need to meet him immediately.

Ricki is also such a fantastic MC, I rooted for her from the very beginning and her character development was absolutely beautiful from beginning to end.

I feel like I can’t say too much without giving things away, but this book also had my jaw continuously dropping, had my interest the entire time, and had me so invested in every single character mentioned.

If you haven’t read this book yet I seriously urge you to do so immediately.

It is so profound & such a tender love letter to Harlem, music, and true love.

This book will definitely be in my top books of 2024 and I will now be bullying everyone around me to read it immediately.

I absolutely loved this audiobook. My little gamer heart was so excited when I saw the announcement and cover and I screamed at the top of my lungs when I saw I was accepted to listen to this ARC.

This audiobook is quite short, but I think it does a fantastic job of telling their unique story from beginning to end and getting you invested in them both, (and also even with the side characters!) The video game conversations had me completely nerding out - especially the hot tub conversation about Fallout 76 - I was cracking up because I have never related to anything more & it really told me everything I needed to know about Otto.

I really loved Viola & Jesse’s story, and I was incredibly curious for the entire beginning of the book why Jesse was so cold towards Viola and couldn’t wait to hear the explanation of why he acted that way. I think the miscommunication and misunderstanding between them is very realistic and the cold but secretly obsessed MMC is one of my favorite parts about Ali Hazelwood’s books. I will eat it up til I die.

The entire explanation of Limerance was also really epic and I love how that word was used to reflect their feelings and experience with each other.

The spicy scenes were also SO GOOD and had me blushing listening to this audiobook in my car.

Thank you so so much NetGalley, Spotify & Ali Hazelwood for allowing me the pleasure of listening to it early, I already can’t wait to listen to it again!

I love these monsters & this universe!! There’s something so unique and different about the group of monsters in this book, and I love the descriptions of each of them & their unique personalities. The plot is also interesting and it has a fun ratio of very unique smut intertwined into an interesting plot.

I honestly can’t even do it justice to describe how cool the monsters in this book are, you just need to read it to find out 👀😅🥵

I listened to the majority of this book over audiobook and I LOVED THE NARRATORS FOR THIS BOOK HOLY MOLY.

both of these characters had me legit in love with them.

Obsessed w Lark, obsessed with Lachlan. Both so hot, both so flirty. I just want to be sandwiched between them honestly 🤷🏼‍♀️

& the bonus chapter alone sealed the deal for me that this is a 5 ⭐️. (more pegging in romance novels pls & thank you) 💖😂

I loved this book!! I’ve been a huge fan of Drew’s since her early tiktok days, because noone can put a bigot in his place quite like Drew can.

When I heard she wrote a book, I immediately preordered & couldn’t wait to read it. I typically struggle to read non-fiction books (I just typically prefer to pick up fiction) but I really really loved this book.

Drew touches on so many topics ranging from her own life experiences, dealing with misogynistic men & bigots, being assertive (and even mean when its necessary!), her past personal experiences being a pick-me and interacting with pick-mes, tips on how to override that loud ass patriarchal voice in your head telling you that you need to appeal to men (you never do, & never should), and speaking about how important relationships with women and femmes are.

I love absolutely everything she speaks on, (Drew never misses) and the peek into her personal life that she gives us in between her seeds of wisdom.

10/10 recommend this book it was a fun, funny, important read & I will always support a bad bitch who sticks up for the oppressed.

This book was such an interesting one for me because it took me SO long to finish due to how little I liked the main character in the beginning, but the ending (and now looking back the entire book) was fantastic.

I really loved the found family, her self realization, and the slow burn romance which grows actively throughout the book without you really noticing.

This was ultimately a really fun read, and the ending left me thinking about life, the people around me, and how important friendships and connections with other people are.
