Did not finish book. Stopped at 39%.
Felt very white feminism to me. I felt like Elizabeth came off as preachy from a very modern perspective but in the 50's which was just off. And then the dog started having his own chapters and I just couldn't

I expected something more supernatural and spooky, but I still really enjoyed the book for what it was: A story about two sisters struggling with their own inner turmoil. The main character had such a storng voice and was so fun to read from. It felt like it was missing something for me but I think I'll be thinking about it for a while

Not bad but nothing special for me. Cute characters and I love a pie baker love interest. I also enjoyed the splash of mystery in the plot and small town feel. Something was just missing to make it exciting and lovable for me.
