Knocked a half star for the original ending. WTF. I would have screeaaaamed. This was old school drama to the max. This was a gut punch in every chapter. But the 5th anniversary edition with the added content 100% made this story. Jamie and B's love story is toxic, dramatic, frustrating, destructive and ultimately captivating.

Not interested in continuing. I don't feel like the 4 guys personalities are different enough. I don't really see any real stakes. Everything is solved easily. I do like our ghost girls personality.

Don't know why I finished to be fair (hehe faire) every single conflict could have been solved if either of our protagonist had brain cells and were adults and talked to each other. At one point our FMC emily says "if there's one thing we were good at it's talking" I almost spat my tea out. They do not talk. They do not explain. They are teenagers in late 20s bodies. Just no. The whole last half was just painful.

Very similar in premise to Treasure of the abyss by Tiffany Roberts. I enjoyed this version though and want to continue the series

This series will stay with me for a long time. Devastating, heartbreaking but full of heart and soul. Tisaanah, Max, Samarin, Aefe, Caduan. All these and more characters felt real. Their motivations and dreams were real and painful to watch into these final battles. But what a powerhouse of a series.
