Another fake-dating, enemies-to-lovers trope, BookTok recommendation that didn't disappoint. I read this book right after I read The Love Hypothesis. My heart couldn't take all the butterflies and that giddy feeling back-to-back so I read a non-romance book when I finished this one. This book is definitely my top 2, being The Love Hypothesis the top for BookTok romance books I've read so far.

WARNING: Few spoilers ahead...

Single POV (Lily's) and dual timeline. Didn't cry like the others when I read this book but it's really a good book to read. Totally worth the time reading! I think due to Lily's trauma and life struggles, a lot of people were able to relate how difficult it is to go through them, deal with them, and overcome them. I like that the story is not predictable and idealistic. You kinda wish it would work out with Ryle, but in real life, people don't change overnight. I like that Lily is a strong woman and a good mom who made a decision and chose what's best for her and her kid. Looking forward to the sequel.
