The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
3.0
I saw a TikTok video saying this book is part of the Big 3 so I expected a lot from it. I thought this would be as good as The Love Hypothesis and The Spanish Love Deception but I was wrong. I read and read and kept pushing, waiting for the butterflies. It didn't happen. One big factor is the lead male character, Joshua Templeman. Sorry but something's off with him. I just can't quite put my finger on it but he's not the type I'd fall for. 2nd reason why I didn't really like this book are the cheesy scenes. It's just an OKAY book for me.
The Apology by Eve Ensler
4.0
A book written by Eve in the POV of her father who never gave her the apology she deserved. Totally an eye opener for me and for anyone who reads this book. It tells you a story of a woman who's brave and strong that she was able to forgive the person who hurt her even though it's the same person who was supposed to protect her. This book clearly is part of her healing and might also help other people who suffered from abuse.
"Anger is a poison you mix for your friend but drink for yourself."
Trigger Warning: Described details of the abuse and how it progressed as Eve got older.

You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle

Funny and witty! I didn't expect too much but this book deserves more hype. Nicholas is definitely within the ranks of Adam Carlsen and Aaron Blackford. I love how Naomi tries to do funny and stupid things to piss off Nicholas and his mom but what she didn't realize was that Nicholas was trying to win her heart again and save their relationship. A very easy read, perfect for when you want to relax and feel good. I would re-read this when I have the chance.
Under One Roof by Ali Hazelwood

This is the second Ali Hazelwood book I've read, The Love Hypothesis being the first. I must say I am now officially an Ali Hazelwood fan. Her writing style is just so *chef's kiss* for me which makes me read her work with ease and excitement. Roommates-enemies-to-lovers trope that is not too cheesy and not boring. My only complaint is that since this is a novella, it's too short! I wish there's more to the story between Mara and Liam. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this one. If you're in a reading slump and looking for a quick read with just the right amount of spice, this is it.
Stuck with You by Ali Hazelwood

Ali, Ali, Ali... you've done it again. My cravings for butterflies yesterday have been satisfied. Imagine getting stuck in an elevator with the guy you made out with. And he's not just any guy, he's THE guy. The man of your dreams. The same man who also broke your heart.
Miscommunication trope. Dual timeline. A quick yet enjoyable read with some spice on the side. Can't get enough of Ali's work. More please!

Re-read. I was curious about the audiobook because of Jeremy Irons. Book itself, 3 stars. But with Jeremy Irons narrating, 4 stars.
A Brush with Love by Mazey Eddings

Dual POV. Super slow burn romance. I mean the sexual tension between Dan and Harper OMG!
It's butterflies. It's funny. It's sad... Yeah, this book will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. The story is about family, falling in love, going after your dreams, forgiveness, and moving on. It's also about dealing with mental illness. It can destroy you and affect the lives of the people who matter the most to you. It is something that you should take seriously and accepting that you need help is the first step to healing and true, lasting happiness.
