THE WAY THIS BOOK HAD ME IN A CHOKEHOLD EVERY SCENE. I was eating this book upppppp. It gave passion, smut, shock, danger, I was over here kicking and swinging my own feet. There’s really nothing better than a MMC that’s obsessed with the FMM. I’m so glad I have KU so I can start book 2 IMMEDIATELY, LORDDDDD that ending was SO GOOD I’m feral to read what happens next. The FMM is a bada$$ with a sassy mouth and isn’t afraid to beat some a$$ and that man is gonna burn the world down for her. I WILL be seated.

The beginning was really good and the end was really good my only issue was the middle was kind of boring and forgettable. I did really like that this one was a little bit different than the other ones in the sense that she saved herself instead of being saved.

Idek how to rate this💀😂I read it in like 30 minutes. It’s basically straight 🌽 but I know if this had been a full book with a full storyline it would’ve been good.

Spoilers!

*I always have to start off by saying that I am a diehard book 1 and 3 fan.*

Everything was fine until we got to the phone call fiasco and everything became super cringe after that. It started to read like a bad Wattpad novel. I was flabbergasted that this phone call thing was even a storyline. It felt like a high school fight. “I thought you’d be mad at me for not calling” 🤢 Then we had to add it back in again later on and bring it up againnnn at the end.

And her family? Please can we be for real if you’re gonna make the family awful can you make it believable? This mother is saying her daughter just answers the phone when she’s a whole freaking 911 operator. Hello?? a freaking 911 operator is crucial in saving people’s lives. Like who would say that? I understand adding a traumatic family storyline but it doesn’t feel believable that the things her mom and sister said would actually be said.

When they got taken from the bar they were just immediately excepting that they were going to go with this person before there was any threats, she just gave in so easily it bothered me. And then It got super cringe after she was given the morphine in a life or death situation she was saying the cringiest things that it was really hard to get through. I love cheesy books and the seal trope is my fav but ugh I’m really trying to find a spark like Fiona and Caroline’s stories.

This one was ehhhh, kinda boring, I found myself skimming some parts. Even the action I got a little bored. I will say this series has great spice though.

This one was a downgrade considering how great book 2 was. Kaden really pissed me off in this book and it was really frustrating. Also I hate the real life references like zoom and TikTok. Seeing #booktok written in a book conversation almost did me in 🤢

I really don’t know if I can forgive Kaden for what he did tbh

I was so skeptical at the beginning. When it started out i said oh no it’s reading like wattpad but alls well that ends well cause it was really only that first scene. It got so much better and I actually really enjoyed it.

I’m pretty neutral on this one, I feel like Switzerland. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t what I think is great. I wish we could’ve delved deeper, a lot of it was just too surface level of an explanation and honestly I think this whole book could’ve been better if it had been stretched out more. That would’ve given it more substance but it was still a good quick read.
