i enjoyed this book. I found the plot to be kinda boring tbh tho, it was face paced which i liked so it was easy to get through. I was very frustrated midway through this book tho when Warner just kept shutting Juliette out over and over and we kept repeating the same scene like he doesn’t have to all of a sudden be open when he’s hurt like that by her but like at least give me something going on haha. like at least have them bump into eachother or something awkard or funny happen. I did like the romance in the second part of this book but it almost had no depth to it… sorry. Like they just slept together and had no other moments. Kenji I love though still and I’m kinda excited to see where the Adam, Aaron and James plot goes now that they’re all brothers even though I HATED adam in this, like i understand why he’s upset but his whole character is like unredeemable at this point. Idk how to feel about Juliette ruling the world though now like where did that come from I feel like she’s taken on a lot and I’m like scared for her and idk if I like that plot line but we’ll see how it goes. Idk how to feel about Juliette she’s also kinda boring oops. Anderson death was anti climactic lowkey and who was the blonde boy with him??? I hope that has some sort of plot twist or extra something behind it.

bruh this was like 40 pages of the same thing i just read in the last book then 30 pages of random filler than could have really been condensed, then 2 pages of actual information.  this book i feel was not really needed and could have been summarized in 1 page in either the last or next book. it also painted adam in an awful way like were we supposed to be rooting for him. it’s like he could care less about juliette and i know he cares a lot about james but he finds out juliette is captured by who he things the worst person in the world is and HE DOESN'T CARE??! freaken kenji had to be like “dude maybe let’s care more”… literally all i learned was

adam and kenji think juliette is dead and the base is gone. def didn’t need its own novella

mmmm i love me a good slow burn and I lowkey am in love with aaron warner fr. someone really need to kill his dad tho!! I want Juliette to end up with aaron not adam because adam now sucks lol. like his character was completely dropped in this book and he just became irrelevant and annoying. also kenji i am so in love with as a character like oh my god i need more scenes with him. i am veryyyy sus about castle and idk why i just get the weirdest vibes from him like he acts nice-ish but i just don’t believe it. I think he has a different motive for sure.

Very short so kinda hard to rate. I like the insight into Warners background I think it was useful. He’s actually a better guy than I thought and I kinda like him better a little now

I was very engaged in this book but it wasn’t the best i ever read you know. Loving the fast plot thought that is really making this enjoyable!!!! Also so far I love Kenji lol and he’s not even a big part of this. Every time i read Warners name i think of this old pervy guy but I know Warner is actually supposed to be hot so i keep getting confused. Warners personality is poo tho

i literally cannot tell you what happened in this book, put me in the worst reading slump of my life and the only reason it even got 2 stars is because i like the characters and i enjoyed keiran and poppy growing together in this book. it just feels like we cannot get to the point of these books every one is then just trotting around then learning they have a new family member that nobody knew about or a new ability. it’s the same plot every book. will i finish the series tho… well of course i’m way too deep but fr we gotta get a move on

LOVED the details put into setting the story of their pasts, i love when it isn’t just rushed and brushed over like we saw the whole story unfold and got all the tiny details. This book broke my heart literally made me feel so sad i didn’t even want to be sad anymore that’s how it felt when Macy saw Elliot with Emma. This is a straight up IHATEEMMA club because i truly hate her. The only thing i didn’t like is how Elliot’s feelings were brushed aside near the end when he explains he was sexually assaulted, this is brushed to the side when Macy relives her dads death and what caused it. Elliot’s story broke me, as well as Macy’s, my heart hurt for her witnessing that and her dads death. I also loved the way the ending played out with Elliot’s family and we saw the way they interacted when finally running into eachother again, without them rushing into it and ruining the book.

it was very enjoyable to read but i don’t think miles deserved tate. don’t get my wrong i LOVED miles so so much but it was weird how quickly he turned around his attitude and they had no chemistry. they’re whole relationship didn’t feel real and was so forced. i cared more about the back story of miles and rachel and i wish we could have seen more into that and that tate would be a stepping stone to recovery because i feel like it was weird how he only every loved rachel then all of a sudden first girl he kisses he loves and marries. definitely kept me intrigued tho and had be sobbing over clayton
