I really liked both main characters. Allie is as scientist working hard to prove herself to the the world. She is on the verge of a major walkthrough, and is trying her best to achieve it in the small amount of time she still has.
Hudson is an Actor, and a famous one. But he has been having similar roles during his career and the studio cancels his next film. His agent has an idea: he can try once again, but now in a major role of a scientist. There is only one problem.. he has dyslexia (and keeps it secret) and thinks he will never make it.
He is sent to Allie's facilities to learn all he has to about Astronomy, and there's where they meet.
At first things are a little rocky, mainly because of some misunderstanding, but the atraction is there.
Throughout his stay, they get to know one another, he meets her family (and likes them) and they fall in love.
But there are secrets that can tear one's foundation appart, and how will Allie take them? Can she forgive ou forget (and even understand)? Can Hudson overcome his fear of being even more exposed?
Well, I advise you to read and find out!
It's a good story, well written, and good for us nerdy ones.
It also shows us that our prejudices can sometimes take advantadge, and some previous misconceptions are untrue sometimes.
I really enjoyed the story. The characters kept drawing me in, and I kept wanting to read more and more.
We follow Jane, a entrepeneur that now has her matchmaking business and Jasper, a NFL player that have been frennemies for some time. They like to tease each other and their banter is actually really good (she is kind of the grumpy one and he the sunshine).
When Jane has the idea of adding Jasper to her client pool she doesn't expect to really get to know him, know that he actually is not even close what she believed but kind of everything she wanted and needed ( he was so, so sweet...).
Becouse of some past traumas, both of them had some abandonement issues, and sometimes they ended up in old routines and protecting themselves, but their connection was so good, that they couldn't stay away.
This is a feel good holiday romance to read by the beach/ pool in a worm summer day!
I can tell you that it surely gives all these summery vibes.
Hazel is a introvert girl, hardworking, that finally has a well earned vacation. She goes alone to Hawaii, and plans on enjoying it fully. Until she reads her boss's email telling she has to work to, to finish a project. And worst of all she has to work with Jack, her nemesis and lazy coworker.
Jack is an outgoing and laidback guy, that also earned a vacation in Hawaii. And on his first day there he meets a stunning girl that he want to get to know better.
Once Hazel has to arrange a fake boyfring to appease her mother, jack enters that role perfectly, and they have perfect moments together.
Only one problem.. they are coworkers, who hate each other and can't fall for each other due to their company's no relationship policy.
I think the only thing I couldn't get my head around was the nickname he gave her... It just didn't clicked for me! It sounded more like a father /son nickname, than a couple in love kind of thing. But that's me thing and it doesn't influence the story in any way.
Their relationship is conflicted, and they try to resolve everything, but have some bumps on the way.
It is a sweet and clean romance, that leads us to a little paradise for a few hours.
Go and enjoy it too!
This book is a sweet easy read that tell us the story about Penny and Liam. They were highschool sweethearts, that ended apart when Liam enlisted in the army
Eventually Penny moved on and is about to marry someone else when she realises she still has feelings for Liam and runs away from her own wedding. While running away gets herself in danger and Liam saves her.
They slowly start to reconnect (the slowly part mainly due to Liam's ptsd). He has this emotional dog that helps him and every time we read about him makes wanna pet him..
So, they end up overcoming all the blocks in the road and walk to a HEA.

Ohh, this book was everything I needed to read right now! I Loved it.
It was extremelly funny with so much banter between both main characters, there was angst and big feelings involved. It was the best!
The author tottally picked up the Tuft Swallow vibes from the previous books, and gave it her new and awsome twist!
We have Callie, a teacher and kind of a nomad, that ended up in Tuft Swallow to give classes for a year. In this town she soon makes friends and starts belonging. She meets Finn, the grumpy single dad, who is trying his best after having returned to his home town to give his daughter a better life.
As soon as they meet, the banter begins, and it's something we look forward in all the book, even after they start seeing each other.
Callie falls for Finn (and him for her) and also for his daughter and for the whole town. She struggles and with the prospect of having to leave, but at the same time she doen't know how to settle down. Will she accept all the love she is being given? And call this perky town her home?
Read it now to find out (go, go, go)!
Jundi is a light fantasy book that seem like a retelling or at least inspired on The Jungle Book.
The story happens in a colonial time, and tells the story of Gillian and her love for Jundi (the land where she was born and lives).
As rebellion aproaches her mother makes her move away to the city and away from "her" Jungle. She tries to no avail to stay, and then tries a desperate measure: marry a soldier that is being sent to Jundi because of the rebellion so she can return to her beloved land.
Max is that soldier. He is part of the millitary and aspires to grow and wants to rank higher as he can. Marrying Gillian gives him a boost, mainly due to her father's history.
So they marry, and afterwards realize that they are supporting different sides in the war! How can Gillian connect to someone who is helping destroy what and who she loves? How can Max love someone who is jeopardising his career?
Can they find a way in between?
The world building is good and the writing can capture us and emerse us in the story. There is a little romance even though it is not the main part of the story, but it's there. The same goes with the fantasy part. It is mild, but always present.
As a romantic I kept rooting for them and kept hoping that they could put their differences away. The author made realistic and beliavable choices to bring them together. I really enjoyed it!
This book was a cozy read that melted my heart. Those characters were amazing, and I turned out sometimes wishing I could be sorrounded by people like them. Both main characters and the side ones too were such a strong unit and their bond so pure that was heartwarming!
In this story we also have some more heavy themes, mainly grief due to a previous miscarriage.
Sky is returning to her hometown, to a new job as principal in an elementary school. She run away from town and from Tucker when at 18y she had a miscarriage and the grief made her go away.
Tucker is now a mechanic in the small town whete he grew up, and as the most amazing little 6y old daughter. When he realises that Sky is back he decides that this time around he is not letting her go!
Not everyone is happy to see the previous teen rebel return, but some friends remain (and let me tell that they are the good to keep) and new friendships are formed too.
I'm really looking forward to read the next stories in this small town.
It was a good story, with a lot of miscommunication that in the end it turned all alright for both main characters.
Damian was a grump and sometimes arrogant men (but with that family and mainly mother it's a wonder he turned out so balanced), that inside is a really good and caring person.
Bella is an artist, joyfull and easygoing that in my opinion had a big flaw that was being so irresponsible (she goes way beyong the head in the clouds stage), and this makes her have all sorts of troubles.
Bella acceps a job offer from Damiam, to paint an abstract painting for an art display on his museum. She accepts, but her goal is not to do that painting, but instead pain her own style to show in a big city gallery, and she tricks him and hopes for the best. What she doen't anticipates is having to live with him during that process and ending in a fake relationship with him as well. And to top that she discovers some family secrets that involve both families, and that coud jeopardize everything.
Even with all the miscommunication and secrets between them they end falling in love.
I liked this story and since the grumpy/sunshine is a personal favorite of mine it doesn't miss the target. I really like Evie's writing stile and world building, and this book is no different
If you want to enjoy a couple hours with an easy and light read, this is a very good option.
Tilly is back in Misty Peaks, after her mother passing away, to return home. The problem is that the small town hold a lot of resentment towards her ever since her father robbed them and dissapered. She had nothing to do with the robbery, but they need and escape goat, and she is back and handy. She is having actually a hard time in the beggining.
Kayden has some trust issues. And is one of the people who don't trust Tilly, but he is forced to work beside her and starts to change his mind and his heart about her, and often has some inner battles about what to do and what to believe.
When it's clear she is in danger, he (like we expected of him) protects her and they fall even harder.
This book has some twists and turns and I didn't actually though the danger came from that place, but I really like all the bumpy surprises.
I really like this small town romantic suspense series. The mistery, the danger, the angst and also the friendship and love.
I can't wait for the next one ;)

This book was sush a breath of fresh air! I really was enchanted by it!
It's a paranormal story, that sucked me in and made me stay glued to the pages until the very end, with quite a few moments of laugh along the way.
Zelda is a witch, but ever since her grandmother's passing hasn't used her magic. She moves to NY to reopen her grandmother's Sandwich shop, but as she arrives she has more than renovations to consider. A powerfull vampire needs her help and her magic to repair a magic mirror, to prevent war between vampires and fae. Zelda accepas to help and gets involved with some dangerous people but with the help from her new (and old) friends, and her poodle, they manage to help restore the right balance and open her restaurant!
If in the beggining I thought I was going to miss the romance part in the story, I couldn't be more wrong! The story dosn't need it, as is perfect as it is!
After ending this one I'll be buying the rest of the series! I want to continue reading Zelda's adventures for a long time!
