This was a sweet contemporary romance between two people on oposite sides of the world, who because of a huge secret end up almost ruinining their chance at love!
Iga is the heir of a huge empire and business that recently became an orphan. While grieving, she ends going to the US where beyond her expectations she meets a new and best friend, and then the love of her life.
Elli is a known business man that in one of their main galas spots Iga and becomes obcessed with her, with an instant atraction. Who is that mistery woman? When he randomly meets her in the streeta of NY he acts kind of stalkerish and actually meets her.
Their connection is immediate. They start dating but Iga always keeps her family identity a secret.
When a major enviromental problem puts them on oposide sides, Elli discovers who she is and they end up apart! Time doesn't diminuishes what they feel, and after accidentally meeting again (and some good groveling) they reconnect where they left off and give love a new chance.
In here we can take a huge lesson to think about. Secrets can really ruin relationship, and a good communication is key to a healthy interaction. Both character in this book leaned that the hard way!
I enjoeyd both characters. Iga was a strong minded girl, who could stand her own oppinion! Elli was charming and had a good heart.
The side characters, mainly Joel and Ash were really relatable and added to the feeling of a big and welcome family.

I this visit to Tuft Swallow we have Kodi, a former softball player that had her dreams crushed when she had major injury. We also have Brian, new resident of this small town to open his practice office and get closer to his boyfriend. Well, that turns out quite badly, and as soon as he settles he gets dumped.
So they meet as Brian is trian to get the word out about his new practice and he sees Kody hurting and helps her. They start talking and decide that they bennefit from a fake relationship that bennefits them both.
But all the fake turns real, and they fall for each other. It starts well, but since they have a lot of trauma to get over with, it get messy sometimes.
So besides the romance they help each other overcome their insecurities and heal!
I gotta say that I really liked the nickname Brian gave Kodi ('baby girl'). Call me chesse if you like, but it hit all the right places for me :)
I found myself mad at Kodi sometimes! I understand that she had trauma, and was grieving for a future that was stolen from her with her injury, but shekept hurting the one who supported her the most so many times! She was extremelly lucky to have such good friends, and that they actually stayed! I think Lilly deserved her own story. She is amazing!
I really liked the perkyness of this town, that as in the precious book makes us laugh so much!
This book gives some hallmark movie vibes, as if we were at Cristmas time.
It tell the story about an romance novel author, who is not on best period and her publishing wants her to change her ways and write a holiday romance, with a deadline The problem is to get in the holiday mood. So, to get inspiration she goes to the small city of Santa Claus, and there is where she meets Dorian. He his a firefighter and coaches the high scool kids, and is a widower still grieving. When they meet the atraction is immediate. During the week she spends in this small town she reconnects with Christmas and they fall in love.
I really enjoyed this story! First, it had several of my favorite tropes combined and second wit was a well executed and written, so all wins!
Nix is a sollitary nomad girl, that goes where her head and heart take her. She has no strings after a bad childhood.
After almost running over Mayor Winston, she decides to camp for a while in Tuft Swallow, and she diacovers an amazing thing! That she liked to belong somewhere, to participate and organize things for her community, to being known and addressed on the street and even to be on The Nozy Pecker! She secretly wants all that.
Thayer is an architect, that after an health problem returned to his small town and stayed to take over the family bookstore. Well, after 3 years things are the same and he didn't made any improvements. At least not until he meets Nix.
After meeting her and all the banter from butting heads at first (even if their atraction was obvious) they start being friends and enjoying each other company, and from then on love blossoms.
But can love grow and survive when they have such different goals?
I admired Nix's strength. After all she had been dealt, she pushed through, and didn't lowered her head. It was good to see her gain purpose, friends and love from people who cared!
Thayer is a grumpy guy at first, but once you get into his circle he does everything. He had some insecurities, and those were the main reason holding him back.
I've been enjoying all the books from this perky town, but I think this one is my favorite so far!
Omg.. there were tears, real tears as I was reading their story. I got so caught up in it that it was as if I was living their story in their place!
I could feel their angst, their enourmous love and the impossibility of being together. That despair and at the same time acceptance to love and let go!
Fiona is a successfull woman, CEO of her and her brother's company, and a workaholic. She is emotionally closed since a bad previous relationship. After living a near death experience, she is handed a watch that can make her live her dreams. And that's how she meets Aaron. She lives in Geneva, but in her dreams she is another woman, and she meets him in a tropical and remote island! Fiona starts to enjoy her dreams, and begins being eager to sleep and return to that little paradise and to Aaron. She falls for him and learns to love once again.
The only problem? He lives in her dreams. At first she tries to separate the two worlds and even tries to give Max a chace, but her heart isn't there.
" 'If you ever need me, if you ever find yourself awake at night wanting me, I'll be here. I'll be here loving you.'
'You said you'd let me go'
'I lied. I'll be here, my hand held out to you. All you have to do is take it.' "
So when she realises she can make that life, her dream, into a reallity she runs and hold and fights with all she has. After all, if she doesn't she loses a bit of herself also (her heart).
There's a passage in the book, where she realises she took her 'Dream life' for granted, and realises that she should have valued it then, when she could. Well, even by an impossible circunstance this book gives us that lesson. Don't take what's good for granted. Value it, cherish it and above all fight like hell to keep it!
"For years I believed I didn't want my dreams to come true. But that was before I had dreams that were worth fighting for."
The side characters were really likable too. Daniel is the perfect brother! So supportive! Ohhh, and Max.. my heart broke for him. He loved so much, but not the right time/place/person. I want to see him have a HEA like he deserves too!
I would give this book a thousand stars if I could. It was an emotional roller coster ride, and I would do it all over again!!
I can't wait for 'Wished' to come out!

Emily is a young widow, that after her late husband's death changes her life and moves to a new town, with a new job. And that's how she meets Warren, the CEO at her new job, and her boss.
He at firs seems grumpy, but actually that's so not the case. Is is a complete marshmallow soft and gooey. After meeting Emily all he thinks about is to make her happy, and to provide for her and to care and protect her. He couldn't be more perfect if anyone tried.
But the backgroung and finnancial stories were comppletly appart, and both of them had some difficulties understanding the other point of view. Once they settled things we could see how they were perfect for each other with no secrets between them.
Just a note to say that in my oppinion we could have some more romantic moments. Although he was supportive and all, there were times were it all seemed more like a friendship.
It was a different kind of book from what I usually read, but I liked the cozy small town and mystery vibe.
We can follow this perky town through the halloween season. The names of the stores were really funny, by the way!
In here, we have Bailey, a bookstore owner, that is organizing a festival close to halloween to boos her shop. Her authers arrive and everything is going ok, until she finds a dead body in town. If that wasn't bad enough, she is one of the suspects. So she does waht anyone (or not!) would do.. she starts her own investigation while hosting the festival.
It was a slow pace novel, with mystery and a small town and found family feeling, that had some twists along the way. It's a nice and simple read, without the angst some mysteries have.
What a sweet and emotional read (with a mix of spicyness as well)!
Tessa is a introvert and kind of insecure girl that had to grow up really fast when her parents died and she had to take care of her little brother. Since then, she always put his needs first and sometimes forgot how to live a little for herself.
Paul is a teacher and has the most sweet and special dog, and after an cute meet cute is hooked on Tessa. They beging their relationship and we can tell that Paul falls first and probably harder too!
Paul was such an adorable character! We was so sweet, caring, understanding, protective, lovable. He always thought about tessa's needs, even whe she didn't and showed her that what she felt and felt mattered too!
We all need a Paul in our lives!
Loved to reconnect with the previous characters, and to ignite the little flame about the new ones (Jack and Emma).. I can't wait for their story!
I guess you can tell how good a book is when it makes you feel all this raw emotions and makes them come alive. I felt joy, love, loss, grief, sadness, anger, blind rage and shock all through the pages of this book. I really, really liked this story.
Miss Erin is becoming an instant grab/buy/read for me!
I found myself cursing at the characters and giving some eye rolls, as if it made a difference and they could hear me in the story (silly, silly me 🤠)
I also get a little worked up with miscomunication and well this book has some!
Genesis is a widower and a ranch owner in Montana. Will works helping ranches make profit, but lately has the need to settle down and find his place.
They are friends, aquaintanced by her late husband, but never met in person. Besides that they already have some feelings toward one another even if they hide them (after all, how can you like someone you've never met?).
When Will realises that he is working next to Gen, he does what any teenager (over forty!) Would do... he freezes and pretends to be someone else! Well that makes a difficult situation even harder. Mainly because Gen is seeing someone at the time (Ford) and is about to make a mistake that can cost her everything.
That angst that Gen was doing the wrong thing and throwing her chance at happiness away by settling (and settling so wrong) got me really worked up that I wanted to shake her to make her really see the good she had in front of her!
Of course that Will's lousy choice didn't helped this at all. He was so dumb to lie. And of course that as the time passed, the lie became bigger like a snow ball...
And can we be any more mad at Ford.. gosh. I wanted to beat him up all the way through the book.
I liked the other side characters as well. It was goos to revisit some of our beloved past charaters and se them interact in the story. I love a found family and close unit so..
Well done!! Really well done!
This book has romance in it, but above all is a story about loss and grief, and how to survive losing someone you love and care about. It's about dealing with all the unwelcome feelings that arrive and consume you and how to cope with your new reality.
It was a little heartbreaking seeing Cass in pain and grieving, and having no one to support her in the middle of that chaos. Of course she had the right to be taken cared of. She should have.
And through the book, Vince starts being that someone. He supports her but at the same time calls her up on her BS, and helps her stay sane.
He was so sweet and kind and all she needed at the time.
This book has some heavy themes such as grief and death of a brother/child being one of them. Please consider this when you start reading this story!
