It was nice to return to Sweetness Creek.
In this story we can be part of Georgie and Levi's love story. They are very good friends since they met.
Once Levi's world turns around by being put in charge of raising a little boy, and suddenly becaming a parent, Georgie's is there to help. Including when he has a crazy idea to fake an engagement with her to make sure the boy's grandmother does is not able to take his guardianship of Duncan. But.. is it a good idea to fake an engagement to the person you're secretly in love with?
As expected this secret blows in their face and almost threatens to meke them loose everything.
They work this out together and with the support from Levi's amazing family.
I really liked this characters and found them very relatable. Their attitude was spot on, even with the adversities!
This was my first Anne Kemp book, and my introduction to Sweetkiss Creek. And I'm so glad I gave this small town and such sweet story a go!
This book tells the story about a grumpy hockey player that after a bit of a fight was suspended and it's mending his career with the help of his agent and best friend.
Riley is sassy and fierce, and knows what she wants and what to do to get it. She just was not expecting to be so atracted to Jake.
Their "meet-cute" was really something and, from that moment on their banter and kind of insta-love developed.
We could see that Jake was not grumpy at all, and was such a marshmallow, with a really gooye center.
I'm definitely going to dive into the other books in this series!

Nic has an abusive Ex, that even though it's over he dosn't respect her boundaries. She was hurt and needed help from her friends to recover.
When thing begin to feel normal, and she is moving on (with the amazing Reid) her ex returns and puts them all in danger.
I liked the characters and their interaction, and the friendship between them.
It was a good story, and plot, with sweet and spicy moments and a little angst as well.
In the begining of the book I actually was a little confused, because it seemed Cooper was going to be the one for Nic. But soon I realised we had a love triangle in the mix, and kept rooting for Reid! (Also, Cooper had some not so good moments that had me not cheering for him).
Nic and Reid had great chemistry and it was good to see them evolve.
Sometimes the story developed a bit too fast and I would really liked it to slow a bit, but it didn't ruin this book experience whatsoever.
At the end we have a preview of the next book, telling Jos's story. I can say that some things clicked after reading this one chapter. I hope copper grovels heavily in the next book. Jos surery needs /deserves it!
I really enjoyed and binged this romance in one day. It probably helped that it has several of my favorite tropes. But even if it wasn't the case, the story itself pulled me in.
It tells Maureen and Alex story, in a small town in Norway.
Maureen is trying to survive, with all the problems she inherited with her father's passing. And that's when Alex meets her. He ran away from New York to escape the craziness from is ex (that became kind of a stalker) and is trying to reconnect to his granndfathers memory.
They become friends, and then have an agreement to a fake marriage who benefits them both. The only problem is that it dosn't have a very fake feel to it. Their feelings are quite real, and they start to get lost in one another.
This book tells the sweet story of Bree and Garret.
Bree is a widow, that after her husbad's passing returns to her small town to persue one of her dreams (open a bakery). Garret is an ex-navy officer and is trying to realise where he belongs now that he is out. He has a plan to reconnect with his family, during the Marigolds fest.
Once he arrives in Bear Valley he meets Bree. And he falls slowly but steady for her. All he need is too gain her trust, friendship and love (and chase away her fear after losing her late husband). They settle really well together and through the book we can see their relationship evolving and the other side characters as well (since they have a lot of developemwnt in the story too. It's not just about the main ones).
It was a sweet and cozy... a truly confy read! Like a warm and puffy blanket ond a cold and rainy day!
And even though I really loved both main characters, I kept being pulled to Clara (Bree's sister)! I'm really looking forward to read her free spirited story next.
Mia is a writer, who as been stuggling to get her words out. She believes a retreat in the Mountains is going to help her clear her head.
Dean is a grumpy guy, witha heart of gold. He borrows a room in his cabin, so that Mia can have some much nedded time.
This starts as a friends with benneffits to lovers, where they learn to love each other and most of all learn to love and value themselves
Both main characters were very likable and relatable, and rge side characters were like the cherry on top! They show that family is who we choose to love and loves us back.
I'm so rooting for Dom and Indie.. tou have no idea.
It had very sweet moments, with Dean having gestures to completly sweep me of my feet , to some deserved spice to make as blush. A very good mix indeed.
In this story we have a second chance at love, between Delilah and Jonah.
They were married, until one event took them appart, and made Lilah run away to get away from him and her small town. They spend several years appart and after 10 years she has to come back to help her aunt due to health issues.
It all seems simple enough, until they run into each other. It is clear of their feeling tonone another and it was sweet to see their commitement to each other even though they were apart and weren't a couple any more
It was a really sweet and fun read. I adored the banter between both main characters, and the perkiness of this small town. It was a very good start to this series and I completly recommend it to everyone who wants to have a good time and a few laughs.
This book revolves around Stella and Riggs and their second chance at their HEA.
Being childhood sweetharts and best friends, they had the whole world in front of them. A great opportunity arrises and he gets famous and with fame comes addiction. This book tells a perspective on how it can take over his life and ruin it in every possible way. On Stella's end it aproaches depression, and the deep end and how difficult it is to reach the light again. So with this heavy subjects we see them find themselves again, getting to know the older and new (and slightly damaged) version of them.
With a lot of work (and mainly Riggs persistance) the start to rediscover their love and reconnect.
It was an emotional and healing journey to read.
Even before I began I already knew I was going to love this story! I've read almost all of Nyssa's books, and all of them have me hooked.
This one tells the story of Harper and Cody.
Harper never had a happy or problem free life, but when it reaches her breaking point she runs! While trying to hide, she stops in Misty Peaks, and comes across Cody. He is an alpha male, true protector and when he sees her in trouble jumps at the chance to help her. The atraction is immediate.
They get to know each other and while bad things keep happening to them, they start getting envolved and she starts to trust and love him.
Every time I read one of Nyssa's I'm amazed by how she can write this perfect male characters. ALL of them! I keep saying that the one I'm reading is going to be the absolute best, but then, hell... here come another even more perfect!
I loved Cody. He was strong but sweet, protective as hell but not overbearing, attencious, loving and friendly..
With all this in mind, I can't wait for Kayden! He'll top this one too, I'm sure. 🤭
I enjoyed the side characters as well, and was even rooting for a story with Barry and Mrs. Sandler 🤞 But mostly I really sympathised with Tilly. I felt she was so missunderstood and can't wait for her chance at a HEA.
I loved, loved, loved this story!
And I actually am not a fan of dual POV, but here it clicked, made perfect sense and I really enjoyed it. It was the sweetest story, with enough angst and some secrets to discover.
Allie and Jake were high school sweetharts and meant for each other. They had their future planed ahead of them together. But then, it all changed. Why? What secret came between them and tore them apart? This story tell us from both perspectives whappened them and what way it influenced their feelings and lives today.
Jake is tottally and completly smitten with Allie both in past and present time, and even though they spent years appart, that feeling never disapered.
"Nothing I do will ever erase you." 🥰
It was sweet to see that kind of faithfulness in what they could mean together.
He was kind, caring, supportive, gentlemanlike, funny. Gosh.. he was every woman's dream man! I was swooning with every interaction and with his every love demonstration.
I also adored Cara's character in the short interactions she had. I really hope to see her story next! 🤞
