I can seriously say that this novella was not what I was expecting at all! It was so much more!!!!
At some point, I was hoping it was a full romance, and not just a novella so I could keep reading it!
I think there wasn't a thing I didn't enjoy! As usual Lexi's writing style has a way to draw us in, and this story, even with some more forbidden topics was just.. it!
We have several dark romances and so many relationships and lovers stories, but this was the first one I've read the approached a $exual disfunction as a real problem and reported how badly it affected both main character both mentally and regarding others and their relationships.
Kristi is a woman who is desperate. She has a medical problem and is willing to do anything to get herself 'fixed'. She believes she is broken and that there's nothing able to mend her and she has been trying for ages to manage it. She has tried everything, even being at mercy from not so nice men or situations so that she could feel complete again. She feels that because of that, she can't be appreciated or loved. So she enters a clinic with a very different approach on the problem. Is it possible that such a out of line approach can help her?
T. seems a bit shy and kind of sad, as if the wheight of his problem was burying him down under. But there's something about him that we see unravel through the story and we grow fond of him very quickly. He is sweet, caring and attentive. As his confidence grows, he also takes the lead and is kind of swoony.
Their identities are secret but they find out that even for different reasons and that even being complete opposites from each other they have the same problem.
So why not go for it and help each other? What was supposed to be a $exu@l and intimate healing experience suddenly started to feel a hell of a lot more. But in such weird circunstances, how could it mean anything real? Is it all in their heads?

Well.. now I want more! 🤭

This story was a light rom-com with a beachy feel, that as always was spot on in a true Morgan Elizabeth's way.  She has a way of making us so immersed in the story that we almost feel as our characters.
These two characters reminded me so much of Ava and Jamie. It's like a version 2.0, set up in a beach town.
Claire is a day by day kind of girl. She lives her life with no big plans, giving it her all to be happy and make the moat out of life (with one hell of sass and attitude). She goes to the small town of Seaside Point, next to her best friend, and takes a summer job as a lifeguard. She needs a place to stay, and she gets one. In no other than Mile's spare room.
Miles is a grumpy and contained man, with an amazing sense of loyalty and responsability. He is hard working and is saving to buy his house. He has one soft spot: Claire. He had fallen for her so many years before, but timing was never right. And now they are sharing one appartment. That has to right, yeah?
Well, Clare has had a crush as well, and both are trying to keep it together. But she is so not suble about anything! She makes it her mission to make him laugh, have fun and come out of his shell, that all summer we watch them come together and see him learn to live and her to learn to settle.
They complement each other and with the help of an amazing group of side characters, they make the most of what life brings their way.

This story is really about working rights and union rights, and the romance comes in second place, and is much more suble.
Vanessa finaly got her dream job at Destiny Park, an amusement park she always desired to work as manager. After getting there and learning how things worked and how the crew members were handled by their superiors it was clear that some things needed to change. She then discovered there was an ongoing battle between owners and crew about union rights.
Thomas was a crew member at Destiny Park. He worked hard, enjoyed his job but knew they needed better working conditions and was willing to get things done. But when Vanessa arrives he doesn't know what to expect. Can she be trusted? Is she like other superiors?
With their interactions is clear they are on the same side, but so many problems arise between their friendship.
I really liked Vanessa. She was sweet, caring, had a right sence of justice and was empathetic. She was easy to relate to.
Thomas was more guarded and shy, but in his way protective and loyal.
Their interactions was always mainly in their workplace and in a professional manor. We had hints about their desires and feelings, but they were really subtle throught out the book. Once again, the romance part in this book is not the main plot/subject, and can mislead some when starting this story.
Anyway, I've enjoyed the story all the same, and how it was relayed. It translated a kind of impossible situation, and how the two main characters reacted and resolved all those issues made the story.
I listened to this story in audio, and was happily entertained through out the book.

If you seek an age gap rom-com with a sassy as hell FMC and a grumpy (marshmallow) MMC with a group of side characters that you have learned to love then wait no less. This one is for you!
In this story we have Anthony, a bar/bowling and game space owner, grumpy as can be, that has a slight interest in a young woman he considers he shouldn't be attracted to because of their age difference. We also have Darcy, a sassy and independent and strong willed woman who knows what she wants and knows how to get it.
Darcy realises she wants to take a leap in her career and whay not starting by remodeling Anthony's flat? And while she's at it she can also ogle the man himself, whom she had a crush since forever. It takes a while but they realise that the feelings aren't just on sided and then the fun begins. But can the age difference make impact? Can they be built to last?

I think this was one of my all time favorites of Nyssa's work. I just loved it. Everything about it. I didn't put it down. I just couldn't. It was glued to my hands while I shifted through the pages untill the very end.
We return to Ambar Ridge with the story between two neighbours who are always fighting, mainly because Becket really enjoys pushing Sky's buttons.
Becket is a firefigher, and an ex-seal, and takes safety seriously. He is a sweethart in disguise! He also likes helping people and adrennaline and he as all that with his work and with his friends and family. But since he started bickering with his new neighbour some new feeling started as well! Those moments were the best of his day!
Sky is a lovely woman, oppinionated, and self sufficient who loves dogs (sn animal lover FMC? Could it be more perfect?) and recently moved back into town and opened a doggy dayvare. Her business is growing and she is starting to feel like herself again. If she could just get rid of that annoying neighbour she would be perfect!
She believes she is very bad with luck or just has bad karma, because some bad things start happening, and she touggt she had left all those bad moments behind. But what if luck as nothing to do with it and there is someone with very bad intensions to blame? How much danger is she in?
Can she get throught it? And how will Becket react when someone he loves is in serious danger?
I laughed so hard between their banter... oh the sweet banter between them was just plain funny and so well developed. The way they pushed each other's buttons at first and bring out the worst in eather of them was hilarious.
It also made me cry. It had some sad bits ,but mainly by the rawness of some of those moments. It was perfect. And I believe I had some eye rolling as well also. Mainly at Beckett. He was infuriatingly cocky.. but so sweet at the same time!
I never want this small town world to end!

This story was quirky and funny and light and perfect for who seeks a vampire rom-com romance.
I've been wanting to read it for a while, and I'm glad I've finally picked it out. It was well worth it.
Amelia is an acountant who is buried in work in tax season. She realises she has to go to another family wedding where they will be bugging her once again about being single.
Reggie is a centuries old vampire who is on the run from a ancient vampiric society. While trying to escape on evening he literally runs over Amelia.
On their next accidental meeting a thought forms in Amelia's mind. What if he was the one who helped her? By fake dating her to the wedding?
Well, after setting rules about their fake relationship they manage to break them all, escape a secret society and fall in love in the process.
I really liked both characters, even if they couldn't be more different from one another. While Amelia is a shy, dedicated, rule follower and people pleaser woman, who takes planning every scenario very seriously, Reggie is the opposite. He is funny, extroverted, confident, with an 'out-loud' attitude, but at the same time caring and sweet about the ones he loves.
I think they complemented each other perfectly.
I really enjoyed having Frederic and Cassie back in this story.
I can't wait for the next one!

I just ADORED this story! It was everything and anything I was expecting and at the same time surprised for living it eve more.
It made me laugh and even shed a few tears. We have so many amazing characters, that it is impossible not to fall in live with each of them. All have their own personality and tecnicalities, but it maked them even better and adorably relatable.
Our main characters have a heavy shared history. Abi's dead husband was Cash's best friend. After his death they got stranded and appart and grief, shame, anguer and some miscommunication made them stay appart for a long time.
When Cash has need to go into Hartwell's ranch to help his trainee heal and recover and train he expects to meet Abi again, but what he doesn’t expect is to be so overwealmed by it! He meets a strong and determined woman, who has been in pain and grieving for some time, and even neglecting herself in other's behalf.
Abi never expectet to see Cash again after he ghosted her years before. But then there he was. In her home, as charming and caring as ever, and so avaialable to be there for her.
They are forced to work together (although there is avoidance at first), but his persistence kind of melts away her resolve to stay away, and little by littler they finnaly admit what was there for a long time. He was a softie and a gentleman.
I really liked the found family vive, and all the intractions were just what I needed.
I really want to get into Lachlan's story. I can't wayt to see what woman breaks him and mends him with love!

In this story we get into the Hockey Renegades team once again. This time the focus is on Elle, the new deffense coach and Dixon.
Elle is a force of nature. Focused, determined, driven, competent and has great confidence!
Dixon is more reserved, funny caring and so sweet.
They were friends once, but them an event turned them against each other, and they never expected to have to deal with each other ever again. But hey.. surprise! She becomes one of the coaches on his team and they have to learn to coexist. At first all animosity is on. But with each interaction they begin to wonder if it all was true back then. When they realise what happened and start giving each other time and friendship love also happens.
In between them we have amazing side characters, like Nan (she was awsome) and Elle's niece and all ghe other members of the team.
I loved the whole brotherhood like feelings those players and team had towards one another. They were friends and even more like a big family a d it was good to read. It kind of makes us wish for that support system.

This is a story about strenght, growth and love. It teaches us that some things are meant to be but maybe the timing is just not right. And when it finally is it is just worth all the wait.
I really like getting into this new world where we meet Lengendaries. They are people with abilities, and in this book we meet two Stormlures (ability to atract storms).
Kylina was a child when her powers manifested. Since then she was given one task and was trained to be a Stormlure and protect the people in the kingdom from storms. She grew up to be a strong and independent woman, fierce and effective, who doesn't let the fact of being a young woman get in the way of her work.
Fairn is the only other stormlure besides Kylina. He too found out as as a child, but as a cousin to the king had a different upbringing than Kylina. Even if he grew up in a different world he turned out to be exclent at what he did, loved and idolised by the people around him.
They had met in their past and some feelings developed, but weren't persued and they grew appart and with some resentment (and pining and secret crushes as well).
When their king gives them a joined task they can only believe it will lead to disaster. If a double-storm doesn't end them surely one of them will.
But the unexpected happens. Their hidden feelings only grow and we see them help and support each other while their feelings devellop and overwhelm them.
We have some political issues that have taken place in previous books (this one occurs at the same time as the Selah series) but even with the condensed version we can appreciate this story and enjoy a growing love.

I can hardy express all my mixed feelings about the end of this series. I've read them all, since book one and I've been binging them one by one since they were released and this last one was really expected and desired and my expectations about it and about Savage's story were sky high.
It was a good story and I've read it compulsivly since it got out but it wasn't my favorite one. I've expected more anguish in Savages's chatacter. He went from 0-80 in the "never sleeping with a woman more than once" and "avoiding relationships at all costs" to "I'm yours and I want a family now". It was probably what icked me most. But hey.. it was because of what I've had envisioned in my mind an nothing to do with the story. I guess I've had too many years to develop this crush on this character and made up my own story in my head, and well... Expectations.. 🤷‍♀️
But back to the story.. Savage is an MC member to the Tarnished Angels and is a morally grey man, with a shady and rocky past and has one of the sweetest hearts possible. He is keeping secrets and one of them is that he is fighting in an illegal fight ring and that's where he meets Evie.
Evie is a young girl that clearly is running away from something. She is young but not naive and is strong and secure about herself.
One night he protects her from a abusive costumer and she loses her job, so he feels responsible to help her. From then on he starts to feel not only responsible for her but also addicted to her and spends all his time with her and falls head over heals with Evie. He claims her as his own and claims her babies as well.
They have an honeymoon fase, but then some secrets come to life. Both his and hers and those secrest endanger their lives and their future in their families and in his club.
We have the opportunity to see more of the three kings family and how they welcome and embrace Evie into their group, and see them all have some HEA also. Mixed with the MC own family it is a large group that loves and protects each other and I actually liked the "endings" that the characters had. They deserved some happiness and love after all those moments of loss.
This was one of my all time favorite series, so it really is a bittersweet feeling to let them go.
