It's a Carley Fortune summer!! This book is her best yet, hands down. Charlie, the MAN that you are

It was really fun to go back and read Elsie Silver's Debut. I can see how she has grown as an author. I did have fun with this one. I do wish we got to see more of their time becoming friends. We were told that they were spending time together and becoming friends, but were not shown that. We were expected to believe they were close after being annoyed with each other in the chapter before.

This was a cute novella with the signature Elsie Silver vibe. This was sweet, and I enjoyed seeing the love between Dermot and Ada.

Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for the ALC! I binged this character driven story so quickly. This was like a fanfic in the best way! Jack and CJ feel like real people, I wish we got more time with them!

Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for the review audiobook of this book! Our main character Gemma is a newly single bisexual woman living in San Francisco. She is is assigned an exciting new project at work, but she has to collaborate with a photographer, her college ex girlfriend Celeste, who left one day and never explained why. Most of the chapters are first person POV from Gemma's perspective but we get a few chapters in third person POV from Celeste.
Love is Focus was such a wonderful read, I couldn't put it down! A sapphic second chance romance, uh yeah sign me up immediately. I think one of the strongest aspects of this book was Gemma's friendship with Kiara and Val. The way they are there for her when she is going through this break up but they can still joke around with her felt so refreshing. I find that sometimes side characters and friends feel so flat in romances but this was a pleasant surprise. I also loved the diversity of all of the characters thought the story, including the couples being interviewed for the Love in Focus news story. The chemistry in the spicy scenes was really great and they all felt distinct and not repetitive.
I wish we got more of Celeste's point of view to round out their relationship, especially since some of the conversations between the two of them when discussing the past and their feelings for each other now fell a little flat for me. But overall I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend!

Are you looking for your next beach/pool side summer read? Look no further! The drama, the spice, the setting, amazing! I stayed up until 4 am to finish this book. Add this to your summer TBR now!

I finally got to Violet Eatons story and  to say I had very high hopes going in is an understatement. I was NOT disappointed at all. I kept giggling and kicking my feet. When we met Cole in book 1, I was not intrigued by him at all, he had the personality of a brick wall. But he ended up being a sweetheart underneath it all. I loved the ending of this book and loved it much more than the first book in this series. I am so glad to be going back and reading Elsie Silver backlist!

Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for the audiobook review copy of this book. I dislike putting a star rating on someone's life story. This memoir was not for me; it felt surface-level. We learn about Maya's story, but I do not feel like I know her deeply. This memoir is categorized as YA, and possibly that is why, but the writing was simple and straightforward. We moved on from each event in her life, even those that deeply impacted her, very quickly. If you know anything about Maya before reading this, you might get more out of it, but this memoir was just okay to me.
