I loved everything about this book. this was my first western in a while and was a refreshing change for the hero's in all the other romances I read. I loved how bold John was when talking just like a true rancher.

Rose Gordon does it again. Liberty was so real to me with how she used being proper to make up for how ugly she thought she was, all because of one person pointing out her flaws to everyone and Paul trying to make her believe she was beautiful.

I was going crazy waiting to find out way Paul was needing her father's help and was shock when I finally found out the reason. they were a perfect match and I have to love the Banks family and they act. the five minute waits that turn into thirty are too funny.

This is my first book by Christi Caldwell and I am hooked. I love a good scandal and this was different in a great way. An arranged marriage, a wall flower and soldier that is tortured by his time at war. I loved how Emmaline had a temper, but was still understanding and didn't run when she found out about Drake's past and how he suffered. I really understood Drake and why he didn't want to get married because he thought he was crazy. they really were met to be together. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

I loved this book! at first when I read that she was raped I was afraid that the story would be dark, but it wasn't and I think the author handled it very well. Yes her courtship to Daniel was quick but I don't think it was too quick and nobody seemed to gossip about it

I also loved Daniel's brother and how the author handled him being gay instead of hate towards his brother, he acted like it was no big deal which I loved. I loved the scene when Rebecca was taking care of Simon and what she said about bedrooms. I was shocked to find out that her attacker was also gay, but when you think of some of things that he did when he attacked her then the reason makes a bit more sense.

I enjoyed the story, but it seemed to drag for most of the book. I was actually a bit bored until about the last 40% when everything really started to happen. I did love the characters and was shocked (not really in a bad way) by how far she would go to keep from getting married.
