My Thought Process
The Beginning as I try to process everything:

Alright, I must say, I'm new to the mystery genre- but I'm starting strong with The Guest List. Even when I thought I figured it all out, Lucy Foley pulled the rug clean out from under me to reveal yet another secret between these characters. The writing was absolutely stunning, and while I was listening to this one on audio, I do have it physical and can say with certainty that both are amazing. The audio version has a unique voice actor for every character, it's a treat to listen to. The story is butter smooth. It reels you in with an immediate murder mystery and not only do you not know who the victim is, but you also have no clue who the culprit is until far later into the story. This one kept me entertained as I learned each character's background, challenges, and past. Each one struggling with something different, creating a feeling as though I have personally met them. This is my first read from Foley and it certainly won't be the last.

I got halfway through and unfortunately I dnf, I couldn't relate to any of the characters and I couldn't find it in me to pick it back up again.
Filled with mystery; I am still questioning what happened. A little more slow paced than the original but it makes up with memorable characters and thoughtful writing.
